Holidays - Christmas/New Years. (a) Each Nurse shall receive either Christmas Day or New Year's Day off on the actual day, unless mutually agreed otherwise between the Nurse and the Employer, and every effort will be made to give at least two (2) other holidays off on the actual day of the holiday.

Holidays - Christmas/New Years. (a) Each Nurse shall receive either Christmas Day or New Year's Day off on the actual day, unless mutually agreed otherwise between the Nurse and the Employer, and every effort will be made to give at least two (2) other holidays off on the actual day of the holiday. (b) A Nurse who is scheduled to work Christmas Day may request holidays on December 31st and January 1st. A Nurse who is scheduled to work on New Year’s Day may request holidays on December 24th and December 25th. The Employer will make every reasonable effort to accommodate the requests.
Holidays - Christmas/New Years. Each Nurse shall receive either Christmas or New Year's Day off on the actual day and every effort will be made to give at least (2) other holidays off on the actual day of the holiday. The granting of the holiday time off during the Christmas period shall be done in an equitable manner. That is, if a Nurse has Christmas Day off one year, they will be granted New Year's Day off on the following year, unless mutually satisfactory arrangements are made otherwise between the Manor and the Nurse involved. Seniority will not be the governing factor.‌

  • Christmas or New Year's Day Off The Employer agrees to make every reasonable effort to ensure that employees required to work shift shall have at least Christmas Day or the following New Year's Day off.

In areas of the University that must, by the nature of their work, operate on a more or less continuous basis, such as the Libraries, Admissions or Counselling, the administrator responsible on consultation collectively with all available regular and non-regular type 2 members in division, shall recommend to the employer suitable levels of operation to be maintained during this break.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.

  • CHRISTMAS BONUS 16.01 All part-time employees on the payroll of the Company as of December 1st in any year who have completed six (6) months' continuous service with the Company shall be entitled to a Christmas Bonus of fifteen ($l5.00) dollars payable on or before December 15th.
