HOLIDAYSON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY. For employees who are scheduled to work Monday to when any of the above fail on a Saturday or Sunday, the may select the preceding Friday or following Monday as the day of observance of such holiday for all purposes under the collective agreement. For employees who work from a seven day work week schedule, all holiday premiums are payable for the day on which the actual holiday falls. HOLIDAYS ON DAY OFF FOR SEVEN DAY OPERATION For those employees working from a seven (7) day week schedule, when such paid holiday falls on an employee's regularly scheduled day off, such employee shall receive a day off with pay in lieu at a time to be mutually agreed upon by the Employer and the employee, or such employee may elect to receivea regular day's pay. HOLIDAY PERIOD DEFINED The paid holiday shall be the twenty-four (24) hour period comprising the holiday regardlessof when the starts or ends. HOLIDAYSWHILE ON SICK OR VACATION A paid holidayfor which an employee is otherwise eligible, occurring while an employee is on vacation or sick leave with pay, shall not be deducted from the employee's vacation entitlementor sick leave credits.

  • Holidays on Saturday or Sunday When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding workday not a holiday shall be deemed to be that holiday. When a holiday falls on Sunday, the following workday not a holiday shall be deemed to be that holiday.

  • Saturday and Sunday Work Week: Five (5) consecutive days per week, Sunday to Saturday. Work Day: Seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours per day. Any shift starting after 12:01 p.m. will receive a shift premium in accordance with Article 13.01 ii).

  • on Saturday 3 From 1 January 2016, the allowance for working irregular hours referred to in Article 4.7.3 shall also be paid during holidays. The employer shall determine an average amount for this payment on the basis of the allowances paid in the twelve calendar months preceding the month in which the employee takes holidays. If the employee has not been employed for twelve months, the average amount will be fixed at the average in the calendar months up to the month in which the employee takes holidays.
