JOB RELATED EDUCATION. For regular fulltime Employees who have completed their probationary period, the Employer agrees to reimburse any tuition payments which are not payable by any other organization, made by said Employee for approved courses taken at any accredited college or university. In order to qualify for tuition reimbursement, the Employees must receive approval of the courses before enrollment, said course or courses must be job related or course necessary to the achievement of a degree in Police and Fire Administration and must be successfully completed with at least a "C" grade. In addition to reimbursement for tuition, the Employer agrees to pay to the Employee five dollars ($5.00) per credit for college credits applicable towards a degree in Police or Fire Administration earned in any one year. Payment is to be made July 1st of each year.

JOB RELATED EDUCATION. 10/4/1 It is the intent and the Employer shall make every effort to ensure that employees in the bargaining unit be allowed to attend job related educational courses. Each employee covered by this Agreement shall be permitted up to five (5) days annually on a prorated FTE basis, (additional days may be authorized by the Employer) to attend such programs, providing staffing and operational requirements permit. At the discretion of the Employer, such attendance may be without loss of pay and may include travel and/or program expenses. When the employee is not permitted to attend such courses and requests reasons for denial in writing, such denials shall be given in writing.
JOB RELATED EDUCATION. Bargaining unit members who, after being hired, promoted, or transferred to a position, receive a directly job-related degree or certification and/or acquire mastery of an immediately relevant skill or attribute may be advanced at least one-step in their pay range, after successful completion of their trial period. This step advancement will occur once the employee provides the agency with a copy of the degree, certification, demonstration or credential that reflects the skill.

  • Employee Education (A) At the discretion of the Agency Head or designee, the state may allow employees to attend short courses, institutes, and workshops which will improve their performance in their current position, without a loss of pay and benefits.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Adult Education Teachers of Adult Education shall be paid at the rate of thirty-five ($35.00) an hour. Break time will not be deducted from teachers’ pay.

  • HOME EDUCATION 1. Educational services that may be required for home education students as defined in School Act, Part II, Div. 4, Sec. 12 & 13 and School Act Regulations, Sec. (3), shall be provided by bargaining unit members.

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Required Education (a) The Employer shall provide and fund any Employer required training/education for a Nurse.

  • Public Education 7.1.01 Inform and educate the public about vaccines and vaccine- preventable diseases

  • Continuing Education 24.01 The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund, one (1¢) cent per hour per employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such leave will be for upgrading the employee skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Such monies to be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established by the National Union, CAW, effective from date of ratification and sent by the Company to the following address: CAW Paid Education Leave Program, 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxxxx X0X 0X0.

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.
