Other Work Opportunities a. At the time of layoff an employee may state his/her availability for other work within the bargaining unit. In order of seniority, employees on layoff status will be offered available shifts before additional employees are hired for temporary work and before employees are scheduled to work more than nine (9) hours a day or five (5) shifts a week on a regular basis.

Other Work Opportunities. At the time of layoff, an Associate can state availability for work. An Associate on layoff status who has indicated availability for work will be offered available work in their regular job classification before additional Associates are hired in that classification and, to the extent practicable, before regular Associates are assigned to work scheduled overtime in that classification, provided that the Associate has the qualifications to perform satisfactorily the available work. When an Associate indicates availability, he/she shall not be called for available work after he/she has refused three (3) offers, provided the Associate received the offers at least 12 hours prior to the start time for the available work.
Other Work Opportunities. At the time of layoff, a Team Member may provide in writing to the Human Resources department notification of his availability for temporary work assignments during the layoff period. In accordance with his seniority, a Team Member on layoff status who has indicated availability for work may be offered available temporary work in his regular job classification, provided that the Team Member has the qualifications and abilities to perform satisfactorily the available work. When a Team Member indicates availability, he shall not be called for available temporary work after he has refused three (3) offers, provided he received at least seventy-two (72) hours' notice of the work availability. Temporary work shall not include daily overtime.

  • Job Opportunities Section 1: Temporary Assignments Unforeseen circumstances may arise on a shift, which would require an Employee to be temporarily assigned to work other than that he would normally perform. Should such circumstances arise, the Company shall first canvass for volunteers from those employees who are able to perform the work. Should there be more volunteers than are needed, the Company shall assign the work to the volunteer with the highest seniority. Should there be no volunteers; the Company shall assign the work to the lowest seniority employee able to perform the work. Temporary Assignments may be filled according to the process set out in this Article for a period of up to forty-five (45) days. Thereafter, the Temporary Assignment will be posted on a plant wide basis and made available to the most senior employee able to perform the work. In the event that the Temporary Assignment is going to exceed forty-five (45) days, and this fact is known at the time the vacancy first becomes available, the Company will post the Temporary Assignment in accordance with Section 2 at the time the Temporary Assignment first becomes available. If an Employee is temporarily required to fill a higher paid job, the Employee will receive the higher rate of pay for all hours spent performing the job, if he or she performs the job in excess of two (2) hours per shift. If an Employee is temporarily required to fill a lower paid job, his or her rate of pay shall not be reduced. In the event additional temporary assignments are required, the job will be filled in accordance with the process provided above. Subsequent to the completion of a Temporary Assignment, an Employee will be returned to his or her previous position, subject to seniority considerations.

  • Business Opportunities Executive agrees, while he is employed by the Company, to offer or otherwise make known or available to it, as directed by the Board of Directors of the Company and without additional compensation or consideration, any business prospects, contracts or other business opportunities that Executive may discover, find, develop or otherwise have available to Executive in the Company’s general industry and further agrees that any such prospects, contacts or other business opportunities shall be the property of the Company.

  • OTHER WORK 14.1 Owner may perform other work related to the Project at the site by Owner’s own forces, have other work performed by utility owners or let other direct contracts. If the fact that such other work is to be performed is not noted in the Contract Documents, written notice thereof will be given to Construction Contractor prior to starting any such other work. If Construction Contractor believes that such performance will involve additional expense to Construction Contractor or require additional time, Construction Contractor shall send written notice of that fact to Owner and Design Professional within seven (7) calendar days of being notified of the other work. If Construction Contractor fails to send the above required seven (7) calendar days’ notice, Construction Contractor will be deemed to have waived any rights it otherwise may have had to seek an extension to the Contract Time or adjustment to the Contract Amount.
