Journeyperson Upgrade Training. The Union recognizes the importance of journeyperson training/upgrading and agrees to fully cooperate with Employers in a concerted effort to provide a highly skilled workforce in which to compete in the market place. The Union and Employers agree to require a minimum of eight (8) hours of continuing education each year between June 1 and May 31. Journeypersons who do not fulfill this requirement may not be eligible for employment. Effective June 1, 2016, all journeypersons must maintain each of the following unexpired training certifications:

Journeyperson Upgrade Training. Section 1. A program shall be offered by the District Council or (Local Union) Apprenticeship Program for advanced or upgrades journeyperson training for all journeypersons working under this Agreement. Journeypersons shall be required to take such courses in accordance with the following rules; Journeypersons shall be required to show certificates taken during off hours. Each journeyperson is to complete a minimum of one (1) approved safety class per year or they will be suspended until training has been completed. Upgrade training will be established as deemed necessary by the Union for those members whose skills do not meet industry standards. District Council No. 7 (Local Union) is obligated to keep current lists of all completed coursework. Courses shall include but not limited to: STAR training, CPR, OSHA Safety, Ladder/Scaffold & Lift training.

Journeypersons shall be required to take such courses in accordance with rules as adopted by the Labor Management Committee.

All journeymen have to successfully complete the following training: OSHA 30, First-Aid/CPR, Scaffolding and Boom & Scissors, HAZCOM, ARSC and other training as may be required by state or federal law.

  • Trainings iv. Appointment of any length involving two (2) or more Consumers who might need to split up to join different trainings, group discussions, etc.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Required Training For training that is required by the Agency, manager or supervisor, the Agency shall reimburse one hundred percent (100%) of all related necessary and legitimate expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, travel expenses, travel time, and attendance time. When practical, the Agency will attempt to adjust the employee’s hours if the approved training activity is scheduled during the employee’s normal work hours.
