Off the Job Training. Where it is agreed that an employee undertakes job related training provided by the Employer or by a Third Party, that training may be undertaken either on or off the job. Where courses are available during normal working hours, the employee has first option of attending training at these times. Off the Job Training. If off-the-job training is involved during the hours of work, you shall be permitted to be absent from work without loss of continuity of employment and/or wages and entitlements to attend the training in accordance with the Training Agreement. However, the Hotel can structure your working hours to enable you to attend off-the-job training and maximise your attendance at work. In these circumstances the provisions in the agreement as to overtime will not apply to any changes in your rostered shifts.

Where an Employee has undertaken a pre-employment induction at the request of the employer for the purpose of, or in the course of, obtaining employment with the Employer on a specific project, such Employee will receive a payment at the ordinary rate for the time spent undertaking the induction
Off the Job Training. LAJV shall allow Employees time off without loss of ordinary pay to attend the off- the-job training required pursuant to this Part. Where Employees attend off-the-job training they shall be paid the Travel Allowance for each day as set out in clause 6.5 of this Agreement, but no other allowance shall be payable for time spent in such training.
Off the Job Training. PC shall allow Employees undertaking upskilling time off without loss of ordinary pay to attend off- the-job training.
Off the Job Training. The Company encourages participation in all forms of off-the-job training such as Company sponsored courses, correspondence courses, or stationary engineering studies. These are aids to increase ability but they are not requirements for any job classification in any area, except as specifically provided elsewhere in this Agreement.
Off the Job Training. The Employer will provide and/or provide access to training consistent with the training agreement without loss of pay. Apprentices must attend technical colleges or schools or registered training organisations or TAFE when required and show reports of satisfactory progress. The Employer agrees to cover all enrolment fees and bookshop costs required for the off-the- job training, except re-enrolment of failed units. This will be paid by the Apprentice and conducted in their own time. Apprenticeship Period Apprenticeships under this Agreement are competency based. The actual time take to complete an apprenticeship will therefore vary depending upon factors such as intensity of training and the variety of work experience. The nominal period of the apprenticeship is either three (3) or four (4) years, depending on the trade and associated apprenticeship specifications; however this period may be varied as follows with the approval of the relevant State or Territory apprenticeship authority, to recognise prior learning including vocational education and training in school, pre- apprenticeship programs and other prior learning. Notwithstanding the nominal period, the apprenticeship is completed in the shorter period when:
