Training Fund. Employers and/or individuals who manage, operate, assist or own, either partially or wholly, a company or companies working non-union in the construction industry on Mainland Nova Scotia within the craft jurisdiction of xxx Xxxxxxxxxx Local 83 shall not be eligible to be appointed to serve, or to continue to serve, as trustees on any trust fund referred to within this Collective Agreement. This provision shall apply to management trustees and union trustees alike.
30.01 Subject to the approval of xxx Xxxxxxxxxx Joint Training Fund Trustees, direct costs for upgrading the safety training of Union members described in Article 2.01 of this Agreement in Occupational Health and Safety courses required by Nova Scotia law, shall be paid by the fund.
Training Fund. The Employer(s) shall contribute the amount established in the respective wage schedule per hour for every hour of labour worked by his Employee(s) covered by the terms of this Agreement to the United Association Canadian Training Trust Fund.
Training Fund. It is agreed that the Parties shall institute a Training Fund to be governed and controlled by the Administration Agreement between the Parties, and that the employer shall contribute and remit sixty-one cents ($0.61) per hour to: In the event the Training Fund is discontinued, forty-six cents ($0.46) would be returned to the employee’s wage package and fifteen cents ($0.15) would be deducted from the wage package. Out of this fund, three quarters (3/4) of one percent (1%) of the applicable Journeyperson’s wage rate for each hour worked will be paid to the Ironworkers Progressive Action Cooperative Trust (IMPACT).
Training Fund. The FTI will consist of an equal number of members designated by the Associations and by District Council 21, with the right of each party to replace any of their designees. Refer to “Recognition” clause – Article
1. The FTI shall be authorized to determine expenditures necessary for the proper functioning of the Training Program, such as a Coordinator, instructors, materials, equipment and such other items for personnel and training as deemed necessary. Revenue for the Training Fund shall be provided by a contribution of the then current amounts provided herein per hour, per EMPLOYEE, paid by EMPLOYERS. This Payment shall be made in accordance with Article 13, Section 13.13.1 The FTI Trustees are hereby authorized to adopt such rules and procedures as it deems necessary and same shall bind all signatories to this Agreement.
Training Fund. 5.01 The Employer agrees to contribute the sum of Seventy Cents ($0.70) per hour for each hour worked by each Operator in their employ to the International Union of Operating Engineers Training Fund (includes five cents ($0.05) per hour to the National Training Fund).
Training Fund. Contingent upon the Funds being jointly trusteed, the Employer shall contribute for each hour worked by each Employee the amount scheduled in accordance with the attached Appendices A through D and forming part of this Agreement, to the International Union of Operating Engineers , Local 870, to the Operating Engineers, Local 870, Training Fund Pension Plan. Such contributions are to be remitted not later than the fifteenth (15) day of the following month. Such deductions are made to the International Union of Operating Engineers, Training Trust Fund, Box 1112; Xxxxxxxxx, Xxxxxxxxxxxx; X0X 0X0.
Training Fund. In addition to other training funds available in the District, the District will make available $3,000 dollars each year to be available for employees, upon request, who wish to enhance their skills in their current position or who wish training in areas which conform to District adopted goals. If the training fund is exhausted in any one year the S.W.E.O.P. President shall be notified and upon request by the S.W.E.O.P. President to the Superintendent, additional funds of up to $1,000 shall be added. The parties agree to establish an Oversight Committee to develop procedures and standards for applying for these funds. The Committee will consist of two persons appointed by the District and three persons appointed by S.W.E.O.P.. The Committee will meet within three weeks of ratification to review the adopted procedures for applying for funds and standards to be used in allocating the funds in order to determine if changes need to be made and to plan for the upcoming year. The Committee will appoint two of its members to approve specific requests. Any disagreements which may arise will be referred to a special meeting of the entire Committee. If disagreements still exist after such meeting, the matter will be referred to the Executive Director for Human Resources and the S.W.E.O.P. President for resolution. Newly hired employees or current employees assigned to a new position shall be given a period of orientation and indoctrination at the commencement of their employment in the new position. The employee shall receive full pay at the rate set out for the employee’s assigned salary classification during the period of orientation and indoctrination to be paid for by the District. The Executive Director of Human Resources, the Principal, the Secretary, S.W.E.O.P. President or designee, and the former Secretary (when possible) shall jointly determine how many days are needed.
Training Fund. The North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters Training Fund is a Trust Fund created for the purpose of perpetuating, promoting and improving apprenticeship training, and to further and increase the technological education of journeypersons in all branches of the carpentry trade and for related purposes.
Training Fund a) The parties agree to a Training Fund for apprentices and journeymen upgrading, including safety training pertaining to on-site construction. The Union agrees that each member will be given WHMIS, Working at Height and Confined Space training courses, provided by the Union. The Union agrees to hold the Employers harmless from any and all claims against their making the contributions and remitting same to this Trust Fund. It is also agreed that the Union will supply, upon request, a financial statement of the training fund.
b) The Union agrees that it will aggressively train all members required on various aspects of health and safety training as is mutually agreed upon by both labour and management, and endorsed by the local apprenticeship committee.
c) The local will endeavour to fulfill contractor needs for jobsite sensitive training in conjunction with the Employers and or clients requirements. All legislated compulsory training will be prioritized and scheduled. Other programs are constantly being taught according to demand from our members, contractors and the industry.
d) Employees will carry the passport booklet or personal health and safety training records for the employer’s information and possible site proof of training. It is the member’s responsibility to provide proof of training as soon as it is practical. The Employers will work with the Union to ensure all employees are trained. The contractors agree to aggressively encourage their employee’s to attend training and upgrading programs offered by the Union.
e) The Union and the contractors agree to try and meet on a regular basis to discuss the industry, training and development to establish and maintain a good working relationship and to discuss other issues pertaining to our specific area.
Training Fund. Appendix A - Effective July 1, 2014 to April 30, 2016 $0.20 per hour. Appendix B - Effective July 1, 2014 to April 30, 2016 $0.10 per hour.
18.1 Each Employer will contribute to the Local Union 71 Apprenticeship and Journeyperson Training Fund the sum of twenty cents ($0.20) per hour effective from July 1, 2014 to April 30, 2016 for Appendix A; or the sum of twenty cents ($0.10) per hour effective July 1, 2014 to April 30, 2016 for Appendix B and for each hour worked by each Employee, and will remit said sum to the Joint Trustees or their Administrator as established under a Declaration of Trust entered into on June 5, 1971. The prime purpose of this fund is for the upgrading of the U.A. Membership.
18.2 Contributions to be made monthly by cheque, prior to the fifteenth (15th) day of the month following that in which said hours were worked, and to be accompanied by a list of Employees for whom the contributions are made. Forms for reporting shall be provided by the Administrator.
