Jury Duty Leave and Subpoena Leave. 19.4.1. Faculty members who are summoned for jury service will receive their regular salary during the time they are obligated to be away from their duties. Faculty members must notify the xxxx upon receipt of a summons for jury service, keep their xxxx and program chair apprised of the schedule for their jury duties, and perform their duties when the court schedule permits. Faculty members may retain any payments received for service as a juror. 19.4.2. A faculty member subpoenaed to appear as a witness will be released from his/her duties for the obligation covered by the subpoena. The faculty member will receive his/her regular salary for appearances required by a subpoena in matters where the faculty member is neither a claimant, defendant, nor a paid expert witness.
