Laboratory Testing Program Sample Clauses

Laboratory Testing Program. To evaluate the index and engineering properties of the prevailing subsurface conditions, we anticipate performing the following laboratory tests: • Atterberg limits • Consolidation properties of soils • Moisture and density of drive tube samples • Direct and/or triaxial shear test • Expansion index testGrain size analysis • Lab moisture determination • R-value • Corrosion analysis (pH, Resistivity, Sulfate, Chloride), Caltrans Test Methods (CTM) 417, 422 and 643 Engineering Analysis and Foundation Report Preparation. CONSULTANT will analyze field and laboratory data and prepare a Foundation Report in accordance with Caltrans guidelines. The Foundation Report will include (but not be limited to) the following: • Summary of scope of workProject description, location map and vicinity map • Field exploration program summary • Laboratory testing program • Site geology and subsurface conditions • Geologic profiles and engineering parameters • Summation of hydraulic analysis results and consideration of scour depths for foundation design. • Seismic study (in accordance with Caltrans Seismic Design Criteria, Version 2.0) • Liquefaction evaluation • Corrosion evaluation • Foundation recommendations • Slope stability analysis for abutments • Construction considerations • Log of Test Boring (LOTB) sheets Structural Roadway Design Analysis. CONSULTANT will obtain two field borings at each side of the bridge, locations to be pre-approved by the County, to a depth of 6 feet. CONSULTANT will log borings and identify various subsurface materials. CONSULTANT will obtain encroachment permit, provide traffic control, and notify USA for underground utility locating required for field work. Upon completion of the borings, CONSULTANT will backfill each with a cement grout in accordance with County permit requirements. Laboratory analyses will be performed by CONSULTANT in accordance with Caltrans test methods for the following tests: • R-value • Density by thin-walled tube samples (if necessary) • Ph and Resistivity for culvert material selection Deliverables. • Preliminary Foundation Report (PFR) (PDF format) • Draft Foundation Reports (FR) (PDF format) • Log Test Borings (LOTB) (PDF format) • Draft Design Section for Roadway (PDF format) • Final Design Section for Roadway (PDF format) • Letter of review of the structure plans prior to the 65% Plan Submittal for compliance with the geotechnical recommendations. • Final Foundation Report (FR) (PDF format) Task 3 - Hydrol...

Laboratory Testing Program. Consultant shall develop a material testing program to provide all necessary data (index and performance testing) for analysis and design of the Project, for approval by the District and other stakeholders identified by the District PM. The tests will include index, hydraulic conductivity, compaction, consolidation, and strength tests.
Laboratory Testing Program. In the area of the sloping intake and cofferdam, shallow soils and reservoir silt will be sampled for testing for heavy metals, such as Mercury. Appropriate samples from the borrow and tunnel borings will be available for testing for Naturally Occurring Asbestos and heavy metals. Testing of soils samples from the Fellows Dike area will be performed as part of the investigation program once the disposition of historic structures is finalized.
