LEVEL I - INFORMAL GRIEVANCE. A. An employee shall have the right to present an informal grievance and to have the informal grievance considered with the immediate supervisor no later than 15 working days after the event giving rise to the complaint, or no later than 15 working days after the employee knew or reasonably should have known of the event giving rise to the informal grievance.

LEVEL I - INFORMAL GRIEVANCE. Before filing a formal grievance, the grievant shall attempt to resolve it by an informal conference with the first supervisory/management team member in the chain of command within thirty (30) days after the occurrence of the act or omission giving rise to the grievance or after he/she becomes aware or should become aware of the act or omission. Failure by a grievant to appeal the decision at Level 1 within twenty (20) days shall be deemed an acceptance of the decision.

  • Informal Grievance The aggrieved employee or group of employees or a representative of the Union shall orally present the grievance to the employee's Supervisor or his/her designated representative within five (5) standard working days following the occurrence of events on which the grievance is based. The Supervisor shall give his/her answer within five (5) standard working days of the date of presentation of the grievance. Grievance settlements at the informal level shall set no precedents in any future MOU interpretation.

  • Group Grievance Where a number of employees have identical grievances and each employee would be entitled to grieve separately they may present a group grievance in writing signed by each employee who is grieving to the Administrator or her designate within ten (10) days after the circumstances giving rise to the grievance have occurred or ought reasonably to have come to the attention of the employee(s). The grievance shall then be treated as being initiated at Step No. 1 and the applicable provisions of this Article shall then apply with respect to the processing of such grievance.

  • Level One - Informal Within twenty (20) workdays after the grievant knew or could reasonably have known of the event or condition upon which the alleged grievance is based, the grievant shall meet with the appropriate supervising administrator to attempt to resolve the alleged grievance. There will be no meetings during school recess periods unless mutually agreed upon by the grievant and the District.

A meeting between the Employer and the Union shall be held within five (5) work days of the presentation of the written grievance and shall take place within the framework of Step 3 of Article 22.05
