Limit of Ordinary Hours and Averaging of Hours. For Employees specified in clause 3.1.1(a), an Employee’s average weekly ordinary hours over each 28 day roster period must not exceed 37.5 hours for a full-time Employee, and for an Employee who is not a full-time Employee, the lesser of 37.5 hours and the Employee’s agreed ordinary hours of work in a week (as defined in the Employee’s letter of offer). For Employees specified in clause 3.1.1(b), an Employee’s average weekly ordinary hours over each 28 day roster period must not exceed 38 hours for a full-time Employee, and for an Employee who is not a full-time Employee, the lesser of 38 hours and the Employee’s agreed ordinary hours of work in a week (as defined in the Employee’s letter of offer). Ordinary hours may be as long as 8 or as short as 3 on any one day or shift. Span of Ordinary HoursDay Workers Ordinary hours of work for Day Workers may be worked at any time between the hours of 6:00am – 6:00pm. Ordinary hours of work for Day Workers may be worked on any day from Monday to Friday inclusive. 4.2 ROSTERING‌ Fortnightly rosters will be released electronically and/or displayed in a place conveniently accessible to employees at least 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the roster. Unless an employee notifies the Employee of a change to the roster within 7 days of the commencement of the roster, the Employee will be assumed to have accepted the rostered shifts. Exceptions to this include casual employees and where permanent or casual employees are ill, or are responding to a personal emergency. Wherever possible, 7 days’ notice will be given of a change in a roster. However, a roster may be altered at any time to enable the functions of the Hospital to be carried on where another employee is absent from duty, or due to changes in operational circumstances.

Limit of Ordinary Hours and Averaging of Hours. 4.2.2.1 The average weekly ordinary hours over 4 weeks must not exceed 38 hours for a full-time Employee . 4.2.2.2 Ordinary hours may be as long as 10 hours on any one (1) day or shift, exclusive of meal breaks. 4.2.2.3 Each employee must be free from duty for not less than two full days in each week or four full days in each fortnight or eight full days in each 28-day cycle. Where practicable, such days off must be consecutive. 4.2.2.4 The hours of work will be continuous, except for meal breaks. Except for the regular changeover of shifts, an employee will not be required to work more than one shift in each 24 hours.
Limit of Ordinary Hours and Averaging of Hours. (a) An Employee’s average weekly ordinary hours must not exceed an average of 75 hours for a full-time Employee, and for a part-time Employee, the lesser of 75 hours and the Employee’s agreed ordinary hours of work in a fortnight. (b) The minimum engagement for mandatory training purposes will be 2 hours. The minimum ordinary hour shift length for all other shifts is three hours.

  • Spread of Hours The ordinary hours of work prescribed in this agreement shall be between the hours of 6.00 am and 6.00 pm on any day or all of the days of the week, Monday to Friday. The spread of hours may be varied by mutual agreement between the parties to meet specific needs of the Company or employees.

  • Reduction of Hours The Employer shall not reduce the weekly hours of work of an employee for the purpose of replacing such hours with another employee at a lower hourly rate of pay.

  • Number of Hours enter the total number of hours worked during the report period by the Employees in the employment category.   • Scheduling of Hours ‌ (a) Regular Employees (1) (i) Regular employees shall be scheduled hours within their classification based on seniority, subject to the employee's ability to meet specific client needs and geographic location.

  • Conversion of Hours where an employee is granted vacation pursuant to this article, and where the regularly scheduled workday is greater than seven hours per day, the annual vacation entitlement shall be converted to hours on the basis of a seven-hour day and deducted accordingly.

  • Credit Hours Any hours worked under a Flexi-Tour or Gliding Schedule which are in excess of an employee’s basic work requirement which, upon management approval (e.g., that sufficient work to be performed exists), are worked at the request of the employee. Credit hours may be earned and used in quarter-hour increments. Credit hour use must be requested by the employee and approved by management in advance. A request to use credit hours will be granted, workload permitting.

  • Number of Holidays (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only)

  • List of Holidays The Employer recognizes the following paid holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Family Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Christmas Day Easter Monday Boxing Day Victoria Day Civic Holiday (deferred to Christmas Shutdown) Canada Day Plus, any other day(s) declared or proclaimed as a Statutory Holiday by the Federal or Provincial Government. The Employer shall post a list no later than December 15th of each year stating on which day the Civic Holiday and any other deferred holiday will be observed.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

  • Span of Hours (a) The ordinary hours of work for a day worker will be between 6.00 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Friday. (b) A shift worker is an employee who works ordinary hours outside the day worker span of hours.
