Rostered Shifts. An Employee shall not unreasonably refuse to work any Rostered Shift allocated to them on the Actual Roster.

Rostered Shifts. (i) Where an employee has been instructed to work a rostered shift, the appropriate overtime provisions will apply after 8 hours and 30 minutes of ordinary hours of work are worked on any day. (ii) An employee will be given not less than 48 hours notice by the employer of the requirement to work a rostered shift. (iii) Where less than the required notice is provided, an employee will be credited with one additional hour of credit. (iv) Notwithstanding the provisions of this subclause, the employer will endeavour to provide staff with as much notice as possible of the requirement to work a rostered shift.
Rostered Shifts. The following clauses shall apply and shall be read in conjunction with Clause 5.3 of the Agreement. If having applied Clause 5.3 of the Agreement, an employee receives less than the Award, then the below shall apply as a minimum: 1) Any employee of Unity Bank who is employed by Unity Bank at the time of the approval of this Agreement or who is employed by Unity Bank for the life of the Agreement and who is rostered to work a shift shall be paid for the hours they work in accordance with the minimum rates of pay in the Award and relevant shift provisions in the Award. 2) The Undertaking in (1) above shall apply to: a. Any employee who is employed by Unity Bank to perform shift work (whether that employee is employed in the Call Centre, or not); and b. Permanent employees employed in the Call Centre (whether such employees are employed before the approval of the Agreement or after the approval of the Agreement); and c. Casual employees employed in the Call Centre; and d. Employees of Unity Bank employed in the Call Centre whose letter of employment states that permanent working hours will be until 8.00pm local time (Monday to Friday) or Saturday 8.00am to 12.00pm. 5.3.1 Employees who are rostered to work a shift by Unity Bank, until 8:00pm local time on any day between Monday and Friday as part of their normal scheduled working hours will be paid a shift allowance of 7.5% for all hours worked for the shift that finishes at 8.00pm local time. 5.3.2 Employees who are asked by Unity Bank to work a rostered shift on an ad hoc basis and work until 8:00pm local time on any day between Monday and Friday will be paid a shift allowance of 7.5% for the hours they work until 8:00pm local time. 5.3.3 Employees who are asked by Unity Bank to work split shifts will only be eligible for the shift allowance under this clause for the shift that finishes at 8.00pm local time. 5.3.4 Employees who are rostered on by Unity Bank to work a shift on a Saturday between 8.00am to 12.00pm will be paid normal hours plus 7.5% shift allowance for all hours worked up to 12.00pm.

  • Rostered Days Off 38.1 The ordinary working hours shall be worked in a ten (10) day/two (2) week cycle, Monday to Friday inclusive with eight (8) hours worked on each of nine days within the cycle and with 0.8 of an hour on each of those days accruing toward the tenth day, which shall be taken as a paid day off. The tenth day will be known as the Rostered Day Off or (RDO). 38.2 RDOs are paid at the ordinary time rate paid to Employees at the time of taking the RDO and will include the daily ‘Fares & Travelling Allowance’, and any applicable Site Allowance as prescribed by this Agreement. 38.3 For clarity, 26 RDOs will be accrued by an Employee in each twelve months continuous service. The Employer must maintain a RDO accrual system that accurately records the accrual of RDOs in accordance with this Agreement. 38.4 Each day of paid leave taken and any public holiday occurring during any cycle of two weeks will be a day worked for accrual purposes. 38.5 Upon commencement of employment, Employees who have not worked a complete ten (10) day/two (2) week cycle, will receive pro-rata accrual entitlements for the first RDO or group of RDOs falling after their commencement of employment. An Employer and Employee may agree to RDO accruals in advance in instances where the Employee does not have sufficient RDO accruals when an RDO falls due. 38.6 Upon termination of employment, an adjustment will be made to ensure that the full RDO entitlements, and no more, have been provided. This means that Employees then having received more RDOs than they were entitled to will have the relevant amount removed from final termination payments, and Employees who have received less than their full RDO entitlement will have the outstanding amount added to final termination payments.

  • Shifts In the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, the Agency may schedule nursing personnel on a rotational shift basis for a temporary period during the opening of new facilities. The Agency shall not schedule any employee to rotate more than two (2) different shifts in any four (4) week scheduling period. Exceptions may be mutually agreed to by the parties. In the other Agencies, shifts shall not be rotated unless mutually agreed to by the parties.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • HOURS OF WORK & OVERTIME Section 15.1 This Article is intended to define the normal hours of work per day or per week in effect at the time of execution of this Agreement. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as preventing the Employer from restructuring the normal workday or workweek as necessary to promote efficiency or improve services, or from establishing the work schedules of employees. However, nothing in this Section shall relieve the Employer of its duty to bargain the affects of such decisions on employee wages, hours, terms and other conditions of employment. This Article shall be used as the basis for computing overtime for employees who are not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day or per week. Section 15.2 Employees may take one paid fifteen (15) minute break for every four (4) hour block worked. Employees may combine breaks to take up to one (1) sixty (60) minute paid break. Employees may not leave campus on their paid breaks. Section 15.3 Bargaining unit employees who are not exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act will be paid one and one-half times their normal hourly rate for all hours actually worked in excess of forty (40) hours per work week. All overtime shall have prior supervisory approval, except when it is necessary for a nurse to remain on duty to protect patient safety. Only hours actually worked are counted for the purpose of computing an employee's eligibility for overtime pay. There shall be no pyramiding of hours or pay. Section 15.4 The Board serves individuals 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. To meet this need for service to our individuals evening and weekend hours may be required of any bargaining unit employee. The Employer will establish the standard work day as beginning at 6:00 a.m. and ending at 5:59 a.m. and starting and ending times for each shift in each department. Supervisors will establish daily workschedules. Section 15.5 Absent an emergency situation, management will notify the Union in the event management intends to institute a long-term change in the present shift times for nurses. Following notification and upon request by the Union, management will meet with the Union to discuss the reason for the change and possible alternatives.

  • Day Shift The standard work day will consist of eight (8) hours worked between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with a designated thirty (30) minute lunch period. Starting and stopping times to be determined by mutual agreement between the Company and the shop employees.

  • Workweek A regularly re-occurring period of one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours consisting of seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour periods. Workweeks will normally begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 12:00 midnight the following Saturday or as otherwise designated by the appointing authority. If there is a change in their workweek, employees will be given written notification by the appointing authority or their designee.

  • DAYS AND HOURS OF WORK The standard workweek for workers occupying full-time positions consists of 40 hours unless otherwise specified by the Board of Supervisors. The appointing authority shall fix the hours of work with due regard for the convenience of the public and the laws of the State and the County. Workers occupying part-time positions shall work such hours and schedules as the Board and the appointing authority shall prescribe.

  • Shiftwork (A) Where the Employee would have received shift loadings had the Employee not been on leave during the relevant period and such loadings would have entitled the Employee to a greater amount than a loading of 17.5% of the payment under clause 23.1(c), then the shift loadings must be added to the payment under clause 23.1(c)(i) instead of the 17.5% loading. (B) Provided further that if the shift allowance would have entitled the Employee to a lesser amount than the loading of 17.5% then such loading of 17.5% shall be used for the purpose of calculating annual leave loading in lieu of the shift allowance.

  • Hour Shift An eight (8) hour tour shall be inclusive of an unpaid one-half (1/2) hour meal period, and two fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods.
