Common use of Lunch or Meal Periods Clause in Contracts

Lunch or Meal Periods. (a) Meal periods shall be uninterrupted except in cases of emergency. Proper facilities shall be provided for employees who bring lunches. Lockers shall also be provided. Should an employee be recalled to duty during her mealtime, additional time shall be provided later in the shift. The meal period shall be half an hour half way through a shift. Employees will be allowed breaks within the shift without reduction in pay and without increasing the regular working hours as follows: Shift Length: Breaks: -Up to, and including hours -More than hours minute break minute breaks In addition to the above, any shift over hours will also have a hour unpaid lunch within the shift.
