Modifications in Calendar, Length of School Day. Subd.
1. In the event of energy shortage, severe weather, or other exigency, the school district reserves the right to modify the school calendar, and, if school is closed on a normal duty day(s), the employee shall perform duties on such other day(s) in lieu thereof as the school board or its designated representative shall determine, if any.

In the event of energy shortage, severe weather, or other exigency, the school district reserves the right to modify the duty year, and, if school is closed on a normal duty days(s), the employee shall perform duties on such other day(s) in lieu thereof as the school district or its designated representative shall determine, if any.
Subd. 2. In the event of energy shortage, severe weather, or other exigency, the school district further reserves the right to modify the length of the school day, as the school district shall determine, but with the understanding that the total number of hours shall not be increased, i.e., a four (4) day week with increased hours per day but the total weekly hours not more than the regular five (5) day week. Subd. 3. Prior to modifying the scheduled length of the school day pursuant to Subd. 2 hereof, or scheduling more than two (2) makeup days pursuant to Subd. 1 hereof, the school district shall afford to the federation the opportunity to meet and confer on such matters.

(B) In the event of an energy shortage, severe weather, or other emergency, the District may modify the duty day or duty week, but with the understanding that the total number of hours shall not be increased, (e.g. four {4} day week with increased hours per day, but the total weekly-hours not more than the regular five {5} day week).
(C) Prior to adjusting the calendar, duty day, or duty week in paragraph hereof, the District shall afford the Exclusive Representative the opportunity to meet and confer on such matters.
