Multi-disciplinary Meetings. When an issue/subject arises that would be best addressed through a Joint Labor Management meeting involving members from more than one bargaining unit represented by the Union, either party may request such a meeting. The Union may bring one representative from each of the bargaining units impacted and the Employer will bring appropriate management staff to address the issue/subject. The scope of authority of the meeting and release time for employee representatives will be treated in a manner identical to the individual bargaining unit Joint Labor Management meetings.

Multi-disciplinary Meetings. Bowel cancer may be diagnosed through a variety of routes; fast-track referrals where a patient is seen within two weeks, routine referrals from primary care, emergency presentations through Accident & Emergency or through national screening programmes. Other than in extreme emergencies, such as when the bowel is blocked or has perforated, the care of these patients is discussed in a multi-disciplinary meeting (MDM). The MDM is attended by many specialists with relation to bowel cancer; surgeons, gastroenterologists, radiologists, pathologists, medical and clinical oncologists, palliative care specialists, cancer nurse specialists and other allied health professionals and administrative staff. It is the aim of these meetings to discuss each patient’s care, agree upon the diagnosis and staging and then formulate the best options to subsequently put forward to the patient. Such meetings have now become the gold standard in colorectal cancer care in the UK and are associated with improved patient outcomes (7).

Faculty meetings shall be scheduled in a manner that impacts teacher planning time to the least degree possible. If more than one faculty meeting is held in a month, the purpose of the meeting shall be announced to the faculty in advance.

  • Grievance Meetings Where operational requirements permit, and on reasonable notice, the Employer shall grant special leave with pay to an Employee for the purpose of attending grievance meetings with the Employer.

  • ATTENDANCE AT MANDATORY MEETINGS/SCHOOL EVENTS Where an employee is required through clear direction by the board to attend work outside of regular working hours, the provisions of the local collective agreement regarding hours of work and compensation, including any relevant overtime/lieu time provisions, shall apply. Required attendance outside of regular working hours may include, but is not limited to school staff meetings, parent/teacher interviews, curriculum nights, Individual Education Plan and Identification Placement Review Committee meetings, and consultations with board professional staff.

  • Joint Meetings 10.1(a) Should either party desire to discuss with the other any matter affecting generally the relationship of the parties, a meeting of Union and management representatives shall be arranged upon request of either party. Such meeting shall take place at a time mutually convenient to both parties. Any use of Company time for attendance at such meetings shall be arranged in advance by mutual agreement. 10.1(b) This Article is intended to provide a free avenue of communication between the Union and the Company, and suggestions, complaints, or other matters may be presented by either party, provided that neither party shall be required to discuss any item brought up by the other party nor be bound to act upon any item presented. However, both parties agree to discuss informal grievances and complaints.
