Nonstandard Design Features. The project proposes to maintain the existing nonstandard features. The approval date for the Existing Features to Remain: Memo to File is August 23, 2020. The details of the nonstandard features to remain are discussed below. The existing posted speed for the corridor is 65 miles per hour (mph), and the project will maintain this existing speed. The design speed for freeways in urban areas varies from 55 mph to 80 mph. The design speed for the project is 70 mph. The existing horizontal and vertical curves along I-80 within the project limits provide stopping sight distances that vary from 311 feet to greater than 750 feet (40 mph to 70 mph), and the project will maintain the existing vertical curve sight distances. Nonstandard median widths of 6 feet to 12 feet are proposed between “WB3” Station (Sta.) 296+00 and “WB6” Sta. 1125+00, where the project conforms to existing conditions. Table 5-1 lists the existing and proposed median widths within the project limits. Nonstandard Design Features. A Design Standard Decision Document was approved on October 2nd, 2020. The proposed project requires the following nonstandard design features: HDM Section 304.1 titled Side Slope Standards states “In light grading where normal slopes catch in distance less than 18 feet from the edge of the shoulder, a uniform catch point, at least 18 feet from the edge of the shoulder, should be used.” Uniform grading standard is meant for construction production efficiencies for larger production projects. This standard does not address safety or the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) 10 controlling criteria and will not be classified in the same category because of the proposed nature of improvements.
Nonstandard Design Features. The project does not propose to change any geometric features. According to Design Information Bulletin 81-02, a Design Standard Decision Document or Memo to File is not required. Per DIB-81-02, Table 5-1 lists the nonstandard design features to remain under the Build Alternative. The table also lists the relevant design standards and the justification for keeping the nonstandard features unchanged. Build Alternative HDM Index 301.1 (Lane Standard Width) Lane width is less than 12 feet. The nonstandard lane width originated from the existing roadway cross sections and will remain. Build Alternative HDM Index 302.1 (Shoulder Standard width) Shoulder width is less than 10 feet for the mainline and less than 8 feet for ramps. The nonstandard shoulder width originated from the existing roadway cross sections and will remain. Build Alternative HDM Index 304 (Side Slopes of 4:1 or Flatter) Side slopes are steeper than 4:1. The nonstandard side slopes originated from the existing roadway cross sections and will remain. Build Alternative HDM Index 305.1 (Median Standard Width) Median width is less than 36 feet from PM 0.0 to PM 9.0. The nonstandard median width originated from the existing roadway cross sections and will remain. Notes: HDM = Highway Design Manual PM = post mile The project does not involve interim features. High-Occupancy Vehicle Lanes The project is not proposing HOV lanes.
Nonstandard Design Features. The geometrics of the existing and proposed facility will be checked for nonstandard features and a list of mandatory and advisory design exceptions will be identified and submitted to Caltrans for review and comments. GHD assumes that there will be four (4) design exceptions. Geometric refinements will be investigated to assess if any nonstandard features can be eliminated and agree on the advisory and mandatory design exceptions to be requested during the PA&ED Phase. Draft and final versions of advisory and mandatory fact sheets will be submitted to obtain geometrical concurrence from Caltrans.

The length between the International Parkway interchange and I- 580/I-205 interchange to the north is an existing condition with a formally executed freeway agreement. 304.1 Embankment Side Slope 4:1 This nonstandard feature of a 2:1 side slope is to avoid excessive cost to acquire additional right-of-way from an adjacent private property with agriculture land use in the northeast quadrant of the interchange. The existing WB I-580 direct off-ramp proposed to be removed and replaced with the new realigned direct off-ramp has existing nonstandard side slopes steeper than 4:1 in a similar location to the new off-ramp with guard railing systems. 504.8 Access Rights along Interchange Ramps to their Junction with the Nearest Public Road 300 ft (Rural Area) This nonstandard feature is to maintain nonstandard access control at four locations along Xxxxxxxxx Pass Road/International Parkway to avoid excessive cost to acquire additional right-of-way from adjacent property owners as follows: (a) Location 1: EB Off-Ramp Junction with Xxxxxxxxx Pass Road Proposed 105 ft (b) Location 2: WB On-Ramp Junction with Xxxxxxxxx Pass Road/International Parkway Proposed 50 ft (c) Location 3: WB Off-Ramp Junction with Xxxxxxxxx Pass Road/International Parkway 65 ft (d) Location 4: EB On-Ramp Junction with Xxxxxxxxx Pass Road Proposed 100 ft The proposed project will the Xxxxxx Ranch development.   • Specific Provisions for Access Rights to Software For the avoidance of doubt, the general provisions for Access Rights provided for in this Section 9 are applicable also to Software. Parties’ Access Rights to Software do not include any right to receive source code or object code ported to a certain hardware platform or any right to receive respective Software documentation in any particular form or detail, but only as available from the Party granting the Access Rights.

  • Alternative Work Schedule An alternate forty (40) hour work schedule (other than five (5) uniform and consecutive eight (8) hour days in a seven (7) day period), or for hospital personnel an eighty (80) hour workweek in a fourteen (14) day period and other mutually agreed upon schedules that comply with applicable federal and state law. Employee work schedules normally include two (2) consecutive days off.

  • Schematic Design Phase 1.2.1 Based on the mutually agreed upon Program of Requirements, Amount Available for the Construction Contract and the Project Schedule, the Architect/Engineer shall prepare sufficient alternative approaches utilizing BIM for design and construction of the Project to satisfy Owner’s project requirements and shall, at completion of this phase, submit Schematic Design Documents derived from the model in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan, “Facility Design Guidelines” and any additional requirements set forth in Article 15. The Architect/Engineer shall review alternative approaches to design and construction for the Project as they are being modeled at intervals appropriate to the progress of the Project with the Owner and Construction Manager at the Project site or other location specified by the Owner within the State of Texas. The Architect/Engineer shall utilize the model(s) to support the review process during Schematic Design. The Architect/Engineer shall provide the Construction Manager with a compact disc containing documents and data files derived from the model to assist the Construction Manager in fulfilling its responsibilities to the Owner. 1.2.2 Architect/Engineer shall provide all services necessary to perform the services of this phase (preparation of model(s), relevant data, decision support model views and Schematic Design Documents) including, without limitation, unless otherwise approved by Owner, the preparation and prompt delivery of all items specified in the BIM Execution Plan and “Facility Design Guidelines”. 1.2.3 Architect/Engineer shall work closely with Owner in preparation of schematic drawings and shall specifically conform to Owner’s requirements regarding aesthetic design issues. 1.2.4 The Architect/Engineer shall review the Estimated Construction Cost prepared by the Construction Manager, and shall provide written comments. 1.2.5 Before proceeding into the Design Development Phase, the Architect/Engineer shall obtain Owner’s written acceptance of the Schematic Design documents and approval of the Architect/Engineer’s preliminary Estimated Construction Cost and schedule. 1.2.6 The Architect/Engineer shall participate in a final review of the Schematic Design Documents and model(s) with the Owner and Construction Manager at the Project site or other location specified by Owner in the State of Texas. Prior to the Owner’s approval of the Schematic Design Documents, the Architect/Engineer shall incorporate such changes as are necessary to satisfy the Owner’s review comments, any of which may be appealed for good cause.

  • Schematic Design See Section 2, Part 1, Article 2.1.4, Paragraph 2.1.4.2.

  • Alternative Work Schedules Employees may request alternative work schedules such as a nine (9) day - 80 hour two week schedule or a four (4) day - 40 hour week schedule. Management will respond to an employee's request within 15 calendar days. Any changes from existing work schedules will be based on the needs of the service as determined by Management. Employees covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act will not be placed on alternate work schedules that mandate the payment of overtime under the Act.

  • Power Factor Design Criteria Developer shall design the Large Generating Facility to maintain an effective power delivery at demonstrated maximum net capability at the Point of Interconnection at a power factor within the range established by the Connecting Transmission Owner on a comparable basis, until NYISO has established different requirements that apply to all generators in the New York Control Area on a comparable basis. The Developer shall design and maintain the plant auxiliary systems to operate safely throughout the entire real and reactive power design range. The Connecting Transmission Owner shall not unreasonably restrict or condition the reactive power production or absorption of the Large Generating Facility in accordance with Good Utility Practice.

  • Additional Features Additional Features are invoiced at the start of the first Contract Year following the Contract Year in which such Additional Features are activated.

  • Schematic Design Documents In accordance with the approved Preliminary Design and Construction Schedule and based upon approval of and comments made by the Owner regarding the Concept Design Studies, the Design Professional shall prepare and submit to the Owner Schematic Design Documents, including drawings and outline specifications. These documents shall represent a further development of the approved design concept, providing additional detail and specificity regarding the intended design solution. Typically, all such documents shall be drawn to scale, indicating materials and assemblies, as appropriate, to convey the design intent and to illustrate the Project’s basic elements, scale and relationship to the Site. All major pieces of furniture and equipment to be fixed or supplied by the CM/GC shall be illustrated to scale. (See ASTM Standard Practice E 1804-02, August 2007, Sections 6.3, 8.2 and 8.3 for guidance on information which is generally developed in Schematic Design.)

  • Design Criteria A/E shall prepare all work in accordance with the latest version of applicable County’s procedures, specifications, manuals, guidelines, standard drawings, and standard specifications. A/E shall prepare each Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) package in a form suitable for letting through County’s construction contract bidding and awarding process.

  • Local Circuit Switching Capability, including Tandem Switching Capability 4.1.3.1 Definition 4.1.3.2 Notwithstanding BellSouth’s general duty to unbundle local circuit switching, BellSouth shall not be required to unbundle local circuit switching for <<customer_name>> when <<customer_name>> serves end-users with four (4) or more voice-grade (DS-0) equivalents or lines in locations served by BellSouth’s local circuit switches, which are in the following MSAs: Atlanta, GA; Miami, FL; Orlando, FL; Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill, NC; Greensboro-Winston Salem-High Point, NC; Nashville, TN; and New Orleans, LA, and BellSouth has provided non-discriminatory cost based access to the Enhanced Extended Link (EEL) throughout Density Zone 1 as determined by NECA Tariff No. 4 as in effect on January 1, 1999. 4.1.3.3 In the event that <<customer_name>> orders local circuit switching for a single end user account name at a single physical end user location with four (4) or more 2-wire voice-grade loops from a BellSouth central office in an MSA listed above, BellSouth shall charge <<customer_name>> the market based rate in Exhibit C for use of the local circuit switching functionality for the affected facilities. 4.1.3.4 A featureless port is one that has a line port, switching facilities, and an interoffice port. A featured port is a port that includes all features then capable or a number of then capable features specifically requested by <<customer_name>>. Any features that are not currently then capable but are technically feasible through the switch can be requested through the NBR/BFR process. 4.1.3.5 BellSouth will provide to <<customer_name>> customized routing of calls: (i) to a requested directory assistance services platform; (ii) to an operator services platform pursuant to Section 10 of Attachment 2; (iii) for <<customer_name>>’s PIC’ed toll traffic in a two (2) PIC environment to an alternative OS/DA platform designated by <<customer_name>>. <<customer_name>> customers may use the same dialing arrangements as BellSouth customers. 4.1.3.6 Remote Switching Module functionality is included in Switching Capability. The switching capabilities used will be based on the line side features they support. 4.1.3.7 Switching Capability will also be capable of routing local, intraLATA, interLATA, and calls to international customer’s preferred carrier; call features (e.g. call forwarding) and Centrex capabilities. 4.1.3.8 Where required to do so in order to comply with an effective Commission order, BellSouth will provide to <<customer_name>> purchasing local BellSouth switching and reselling BellSouth local exchange service under Attachment 1, selective routing of calls to a requested directory assistance services platform or operator services platform. <<customer_name>> customers may use the same dialing arrangements as BellSouth customers, but obtain a <<customer_name>> branded service.
