Premium Time. Essential employees will not be paid premium or any additional compensation merely due to the fact that they are required to work during an emergency shut- down. However, other collective bargaining agreement provisions, which apply independent of emergency shut-down situations, will continue to be enforced. It is the policy of the County that employees whose positions are deemed essential shall be required to work during emergency shut-downs as part of their duties as a County employee.
Premium Time. (a) Overtime will mean any work performed outside of an employee’s scheduled work. Employees working in excess of eight (8) hours in a day shall be paid eight (8) hours at regular rate and time and one-half (1 1/2) for all time worked in excess of eight (8) hours exclusive of reporting time. Work performed by an employee on a spare Board, shall not be considered overtime until the employee has worked at least eight (8) hours in a day, or forty (40) hours in a week.
(b) Overtime will be compensated at a rate of time and one-half (1 1/2) the regular rate, except on a Statutory Holiday, when the rate will be two (2) times the regular rate.
(c) Overtime for employees on a Special will be calculated on an accumulation of forty (40) hours in any weekly pay period. The number of hours worked at ordinary rates in any one (1) week will not exceed forty- two (42) hours. The overtime rate will apply to all hours worked in excess of this amount. All time worked in excess of the regularly scheduled daily hours for a Special will be paid at time and one-half (1 1/2).
Premium Time. Premium time is charged after 8 hours on-site in a single day and for weekends and night work.
Premium Time. Premium Time" shall be all hours worked other than overtime for which a rate higher than the applicable hourly rate specified in Schedule B is required.
Premium Time. The provisions in Schedule 7 of the Terms and Conditions apply to recognise the unsocial nature of work done in Premium Time, either for the honorary employer or the substantive employer, and the flexibility needed by senior academic GPs for whom work at these times has been contracted. On any occasion where you are scheduled to work through the Premium Time period, as part of your duties under this honorary contract, we will ensure that you have adequate rest both before and after this period of duty.
9.1 Out of Hours
Premium Time. The provisions of Annex F will apply to recognise the unsocial nature of work contracted in Premium Time and the flexibility of clinical academics, including senior academic GPs, working at these times.
Premium Time. 1. The Employer agrees to pay premium time at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the employee’s regular hourly rate of pay for authorized work performed in excess of forty (40) hours per week.
2. The Employer agrees to pay premium time at the rate of two (2) times the employee’s regular hourly rate of pay for authorized work performed in non-scheduled hours on Sundays and paid holidays.
3. At the employee’s option, the employee can be provided compensatory time in lieu of the above premium time pay.
4. Building Security/Heat Checks

b) The Head of Maintenance shall perform normal heat checks at the discretion of the Director of Facilities or designee and shall be paid at the applicable hourly rate.
c) Stipend for building checks for Building Heads and Assistant Building Heads will increase by $500 in 2019-20, $250 in 2020-21, and $250 in 2021-22.

8.2 On any occasion where a consultant is scheduled to work during the Premium Time period, the employing organisation will ensure that the consultant has adequate rest both before and after this period of duty.
