Notification of Association. When the Board of Education determines reduction-in-force is possible, it will notify the Association president in writing that reduction-in-force is being considered.
Notification of Association. Where the Board determines that it is necessary to reduce the work force in such a manner that one or more layoffs will occur, it shall notify the Association 30 calendar days in advance of the effective date of such decision, including a determination of how many members in each rank are to be affected by reduction in rank, and how many members are to be laid off.
Notification of Association. If conditions exist which suggest the possibility of teacher layoff, the District will notify the Association of the possibility and seek cooperative solutions.
Notification of Association. Determination as to (1), (2), or (3) above shall be made by the Administrator. Prior to contracting out under this provision, the District shall notify the Association of the date the District intends to contract out. The timing of said notice shall depend on the nature of the contracting out circumstances and only such notice as the Administrator determines is reasonably and practicably available shall be given. The Association may suggest alternatives or make other comments to the District. The Administrator shall make available to Association upon request: (1) description of the services to be so performed, and (2) the factual basis supporting the reason for such action.
Notification of Association. When a reduction in force is to be implemented, the BEA President shall receive, in writing, at least fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the Board action approving a reduction in force:
a. A list of the positions in each teaching field affected by the reduction in teachers; and,
b. The seniority lists for all teachers as outlined in Article XI, Seniority. Note: Tutor positions and individuals employed as tutors will not be included on the lists referenced in Subparagraphs (a) and (b) above and are not subject to this reduction in force procedure.
c. The proposed time schedule; and
d. The reasons for the proposed action.
Notification of Association. If the Superintendent is intending to recommend a reduction in force, he/she will notify the Association and the member affected at least fourteen (14) calendar days before the proposed date of such Board action. Such notice will be in writing and will include the specific member’s name and position to be affected, the proposed time schedule, and the reasons for the proposed action. Except for reductions due to return to duty from leaves of absence, reductions in force shall take place no later than June 1.
Notification of Association. When the Board identifies areas to be reduced, the Association President shall be notified in writing no later than the Monday following the Board of Education meeting at which the positions to be reduced were approved by the Board.
Notification of Association. Before final action on a reduction of employees is taken by the Board of Education, it will give notice to the Association of the contemplated reduction and afford Association representatives the opportunity to discuss it with the Employer.

Before official action on a reduction of teachers is taken by the Board of Education, the board will give notice to the Association of the contemplated reduction and afford the Association the opportunity to discuss the action with the employer. As soon as the names of the teachers to be laid off are known, a list of such names shall be given to the Association prior to notification of the individuals to be laid off. In the event of a dispute concerning the layoff list, the Association shall have the right to file a written grievance thereon within no more than five (5) days after the termination of the meeting requesting review of the list.
Notification of Association. When the Board is contemplating a reduction in force of tenured members, the Association will be informed in writing, for purpose of discussion, including alternatives to such reduction in staff.
