On-Duty Fitness Time Sample Clauses

On-Duty Fitness Time. Participating officers who are not assigned to patrol will be authorized to exercise for up to one (1) hour of On Duty Fitness Time per shift up to three (3) shifts per work week, which shall include the selected form of approved exercise, changing attire, and showering. The City will revisit the issue of participation of Police Officers assigned to patrol in On-duty Fitness Time upon completion of the Police Department Staffing Study, which shall commence no later than sixty (60) calendar days following January 23, 2023. For participating officers not assigned to patrol, time will be allotted during the employee’s working dayto allow the employee the benefit of working out on duty. Employees must commit to using one (1) hour of on-duty time to engage in a selected form of approved exercise up to three (3) shifts per work week, contingent upon supervisor approval and/or staffing constraints as determined by the supervisor. Participants will be required to sign a hold harmless agreement. Participating Police Officers assigned to patrol who are not eligible for on- duty workout time may elect to receive a stipend of $62.50 per month or up to seven hundred fifty dollars ($750) per fiscal year for a gym membership or other fitness activities instead of regular On Duty Fitness Time in order to participate in the Wellness Program. The fitness activity reimbursement is subject to approval of the Human Resources Director or designee. The usage and request for reimbursement must occur between June 1st and May 31st each fiscal year. Taxability of this benefit allowance is governed by the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code and State and local regulations.

On-Duty Fitness Time. Manpower permitting and with approval of the shift supervisor each Employee will be permitted one (1) hour of on-duty time per shift to engage in physical fitness training. Employees may be recalled to duty in case of emergency.

  • Jury Duty and Witness Duty If an employee is required to serve as a juror in any court of law, or is required to attend as a witness in a court proceeding in which the Crown is a party, or is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or coroner’s inquest, in connection with a case arising from an employee’s duties at the Home, the employee shall not lose regular pay because of such attendance, provided that the employee:

  • Jury Duty and Witness Leave During the time an employee is actually reporting to the court for jury duty and following receipt of "Certificate of Jury Service" (Jury Form 4), the Department Head or his/her designate will convert the employee's usual shift to a regular five-day Monday through Friday day-shift basis. Any person holding a permanent position ordered to serve on a jury shall be entitled to his/her regular pay provided the employee deposits his/her fees for service, other than mileage, with the County Treasurer. Whenever any full-time permanent employee is required to be absent from work by a proper subpoena, issued by a court or commission legally empowered to subpoena witnesses, which compels the employee's presence as a witness, unless the employee is a party or an expert witness, the employee shall be allowed the time necessary to be absent from work at the employee's regular pay to comply with such subpoena, provided the employee deposits any witness fees, except mileage, with the County Treasurer.

  • Jury Duty/Witness Leave The Employer shall grant leave of absence without loss of regular pay to an employee who serves as a juror, or is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or coroner’s inquest related to their employment at their employment at the Home, providing the employee:

  • JURY DUTY AND WITNESS PAY 21.1 All employees shall be granted leave with pay and without loss of any benefits of their employment, to serve as a juror in State or Federal court or witness as a consequence of their official duties in response to subpoena or similar service issued out of a State or Federal Court, subject to the following provisions:

  • Jury Duty and Subpoena Leave A. Leave of absence with pay will be granted to employees for jury duty with appropriate documentation. An employee will be allowed to retain any compensation paid to him or her for jury duty service. An employee will inform his/her supervisor when notified of a jury summons and will cooperate in requesting a postponement of service if warranted by business demands.

  • Duty Hours 11.01 The regular work week for all employees shall be eighty (80) hours bi-weekly on shifts of eight (8) hours per day. Employees shall not be scheduled to work double shifts as a part of the normal scheduling procedure. The Employer may implement a forty (40) hour workweek on shifts of ten (10) hours per day, according to Departmental needs.
