Overtime – Regular Workweek. The Company will pay an hourly rated or salaried employee on a nonexempt job for overtime as follows: (a) At the rate of time and one-half for hours worked either (1) In excess of 8 hours in any single workday; or (2) In excess of 40 hours in any given workweek; or (3) In excess of 8 hours in any continuous 24 hours beginning at the starting time of the employee’s shift; or (4) After working his regular schedule, if on multiple shifts of less than 8 hours each; or (5) On his Saturday. (b) At the rate of double time for hours worked either (1) On his Sunday; or (2) On his “observed” holiday; or (3) In excess of 12 hours in his workday; provided that an employee who shall have worked in excess of 12 hours in any single workday, and who shall be required to continue at work beyond that workday, shall continue to be paid at the double time rate for hours worked until he shall have been relieved from work; or (4) Outside the employee’s regularly scheduled shift on a calendar Sunday or calendar observed holiday. (c) At the rate of double time and one-half for hours worked either (1) On his holidays listed in Article VII as paid holidays; or (2) Outside the employee’s regularly scheduled shift on any of the calendar holidays listed in Article VII as paid holidays; or (3) For salaried employees only, for hours worked on an observed holiday or outside the employee’s regularly scheduled shift on any calendar observed holiday. (d) An employee who is transferred from his regular established shift to another and who is thereafter returned to his original shift during the same week, or during the immediately succeeding week, shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half for the first 8 hours worked following the first such transfer, except where either or both such transfers (i) results from the failure of another employee or employees to report for work; or (ii) is made in connection with a lack of work situation; or (iii) is made at the employee’s request; or (iv) results from an emergency breakdown of equipment or machinery; or (v) is made in connection with an established program of shift rotation.

Overtime – Regular Workweek. The Company will pay employees on a regular workweek schedule overtime as follows: (a) At one and one-half (1-1/2) times the straight time rate for hours worked either: (1) In excess of eight (8) hours in any single work day, or (2) In excess of forty (40) hours in any given workweek, or (3) On his or her Saturday. (b) At two (2) times the straight time rate for hours worked either: (1) On his or her Sunday, or (2) In excess of twelve (12) hours in any single workday; provided that an employee who shall have worked in excess of twelve (12) hours in any single workday and who shall be required to continue at work beyond that workday, shall continue to be paid at the double time rate for hours worked until the employee shall have been relieved from work, and provided further that the 30 or 12 minutes relieving time described in Article IV, Section 10 hereof, shall not be counted as time worked in determining whether the employee shall continue to be paid at the double time rate for work beyond twelve (12) hours worked in that workday. (c) At the rate of two and one-half (2-1/2) times the straight time rate for hours worked either (1) on holidays listed in Article VIII as paid holidays, or (2) outside the employee's regularly scheduled shift on any of the calendar holidays listed in Article VIII as paid holidays.
Overtime – Regular Workweek. Hourly or salaried non-exempt employees will be paid overtime as follows: 1. At the rate of time and one-half for hours worked either: (a) In excess of eight (8) hours in any single workday; or (b) In excess of forty (40) hours in any given workweek; or (c) On the sixth day immediately following the employee’s normal five (5) day work schedule. 2. At the rate of double time for hours worked either: (a) On the seventh day immediately following the employee’s normal five (5) day work schedule, or; (b) On an unpaid holiday for hourly employees; or Veteran's Day; or (c) In excess of twelve (12) hours in a workday; provided that an employee who shall have worked in excess of twelve (12) hours in any single work day; and who shall be required to work beyond that workday, shall continue to be paid at the double time rate for hours worked until they have been relieved from work. 3. At the rate of double time and one-half for hours worked either: (a) On any of the holidays listed in Article VII, Section A (with the exception of Veteran's Day); or (b) Outside the employee’s regularly scheduled shift on any holidays listed in Article VII, Section A; (c) For salaried non-exempt employees only, for any hours worked on any holiday.

  • Workweek A regularly re-occurring period of one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours consisting of seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour periods. Workweeks will normally begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 12:00 midnight the following Saturday or as otherwise designated by the appointing authority. If there is a change in their workweek, employees will be given written notification by the appointing authority or their designee.

  • Regular Work Week The regular work week shall be any five (5) consecutive days, Sunday through Saturday, for a total regular work week of forty (40) working hours, subject to the applicable premiums where provided for in this Agreement. Notwithstanding the above, employees may volunteer to work schedules that fall outside of the regular work week of Sunday through Saturday and may do so, upon approval by the Company, and with no penalty cost to the Company, but with applicable premiums as provided for in this Agreement.

  • Regular Work Day A regular work day shall consist of six and one-half (6½) hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  • Normal Workweek The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Workday and Workweek The regular workweek of a full-time employee in the bargaining unit shall be forty (40) hours and shall consist of five (5) consecutive days of eight (8) hours per day.

  • Public Holiday Work (a) For Employees other than Shiftworkers, double time and a half must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours. (b) For Shiftworkers, double time and a half (inclusive of their shift loading) must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours.

  • Holiday Work Employees who work on a holiday shall receive one and one-half (1-1/2) times their straight time regular rate of pay for all hours actually worked on the holiday, plus holiday pay.

  • Regular Hours The regular hours of work each day shall be consecutive except for interruptions for lunch periods.

  • HOLIDAY COMPENSATION FOR TIME WORKED 110. Employees required by their respective appointing officers to work on any of the above specified or substitute holidays, excepting Fridays observed as holidays in lieu of holidays falling on Saturday, shall be paid extra compensation of one additional day's pay at time-and-one-half the usual rate in the amount of 12 hours pay for 8 hours worked or a proportionate amount for less than 8 hours worked provided, however, that at the employee's request and with the approval of the appointing officer, an employee may be granted compensatory time off in lieu of paid overtime pursuant to the provisions of Section III.E.2. 111. Executive, administrative and professional employees designated in the Annual Salary Ordinance with the "Z" symbol shall not receive extra compensation for holiday work but may be granted time off equivalent to the time worked at the rate of-one-and-one-half times for work on the holiday.

  • Holidays Worked When an employee works on a calendar holiday, he/she shall receive payment of the holiday at the regular rate and in addition, at the discretion of the Employer, (1) be paid at the rate of time and one half for hours actually worked on the holiday or (2) be given compensatory time off equal to one and one half the number of hours actually worked.
