OVERVIEW OF THE WORKS. The work to be performed under this contract comprises mainly the rehabilitation of runway 02- 20, including taxiways and aprons at Xxxx Xxxxxxx International Airport. The following aspects will be addressed in this project: • The main runway will be re-surfaced using 45mm Continuously Graded Asphalt and 15mm Bitumen Rubber Friction Course (BRUTFC). • Taxiway Alpha will be rehabilitated and re-surfaced using 45mm Continuously Graded Asphalt. • Taxiway Bravo will be rehabilitated and re-surfaced using 45mm Continuously Graded Asphalt. • Taxiway Xxxxxxx will be rehabilitated and re-surfaced using 45mm Continuously Graded Asphalt. • Apron Bravo will be re-constructed with 80mm interlocking block paving. • Removal and replacement of existing infrastructure, including replacement of any damaged equipment thereof. • Reference existing paint markings and reinstatement before opening of the runway. Where instructed the position of the line markings may change. • Re-shaping Runway End Safety Areas (RESA) to avoid any future standing water. • Drainage improvements on the runway sides areas that may include level correction (with reinstatement of topsoil and re-vegetation/hydro seeding, excess grass removal and improvement to drain inlets.
OVERVIEW OF THE WORKS. Work to be carried out under this contract is shown on the drawings and described in the project specification. This work may be briefly described as comprising the following: • Establishment, clearing of the reservoir site and re-establishing the foundation platform. • Construction of one 3.5Ml, one 2Ml and one 1Ml concrete reservoir. • Manufacture of fittings, specials and bends using pipes supplied by the Contractor. • OH&S compliance • Environmental compliance and management including site rehabilitation

The successful tender shall service, repair and inspect the waterborne fire protection system at Steenbras, Athlone and Roggebbaai Power Stations as per this specifications and stipulations in the pricing schedules. 3.1. (A1) Inspect, service and repair all hand operated isolating and control valves.
3.2. (A2) Inspect, service and repair all Wormald and Viking Deluge valves, including the supply of all parts and consumables as stipulated in the parts list in the pricing schedule.
3.3. (A3) Inspect, service and repair all Wormald and Viking High Velocity sprayers.
3.4. (A4) Inspect, service and repair all Wormald and Viking Glass Bulb Detectors.
3.5. (A5) Operational testing of the fire protection system on completion of all work.
3.6. (A6) Certification in accordance with SANS 10287 (SABS 0287) 3.7. (B1) Replace all Wormald and Viking Deluge valves, including the supply of all parts and consumables as stipulated in the parts list in the pricing schedule.

OVERVIEW OF THE WORKS. The project entails the construction of an outdoor interest and learning point in the park. The circle will include a semi-enclosed area that can be used as exhibition space or for functions. It will also feature a zero depth water feature for children to play in and a bio pond that acts as an educational tool for visitors to the garden. The central feature will accommodate a large rock on which the bronze bust of Xxxxxx Xxxxxx will be installed.

OVERVIEW OF THE WORKS. This Contract is for the completion of the installation of the new firefighting reticulation system (FFRS). The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to: • Construction of new fire reticulation piping and connecting to partially installed network; • Construction of various pipe supports; • Modifications to already installed pipework; • Modifications to already installed supports. The above-mentioned work will entail: • Modifications and completion of the partially installed above ground system of approximately 4 000m of galvanised steel pipe, varying between 80mm diameter and 200mm diameter in size. • Construction of additional support structures for the pipelines. • Pipe re-alignment at pipe bridges • Additional hanger support straps where specified • Replacement of existing supports • Relocation of existing supports to more suitable locations • Corrosion protection to existing supports, hangers, bolts, etc. • Corrosion protection to pipes • Retaining the connections to the municipal system and tying in to the existing pipes feeding the site • Connecting the pipe network to the existing feed into buildings (sprinkler systems, hose reels and inside hydrants) • Connecting to the existing below ground fire reticulation system that is outside the boundary of the site • Supply and installation of various hydrants and valves • Blanking off existing hydrants and pipework • The existing fire reticulation network that is to be replaced, should be closed off. • Testing and commissioning of above ground network in its entirety including pipework previously installed by others The Works are described in detail on the drawings and the relevant sections of the Scope of Work.
OVERVIEW OF THE WORKS. This contract includes the design, supply, delivery to site, off-loading, erection, installation, commissioning, testing, and handing over in full working order a high mast lighting structure, including floodlight luminaries, in CITY OF MBOMBELA on an “as and when” basis for a period of three (3) years. This tender will be dependent on the availability of funds. Tenderers must allow for all items, whether specified or not, required to complete the installation. Over and above all the items listed in Section 1.2 and Section 1.3, the Contractor’s Scope of Work will specifically include the following:
1. Geotechnical studies of proposed sites and issuing of soil test results.
2. Design, preparation and cast of appropriate foundations.
3. Design, supply, delivery to site, off-loading, erection, installation, commissioning, testing, and handing over in full working order a 30 meter high mast pole complete with Luminaries and control panel as specified.
4. Perform an electrical connection to the installation from the Municipal Supply Point, which will be supplied by CITY OF MBOMBELA or ESKOM to the base of the base of the pole.
5. Test and commissioning of the high mast lighting installation.
