Paid Parental/Pregnancy Leave. An employee who is the primary care provider and who is currently on an active work assign- ment and who meets the eligibility criteria in 17.02 (b) shall be eligible to receive, on a weekly basis, 100% of the employee’s regu- lar wages of the work assignment(s) for the first two (2) weeks, and 45% of their regular wages for the remaining term of their current work assignment(s). In circumstances where the employee is ineligible for Parental/Preg- xxxxx benefits under Employment Insurance (E.I.) the 45% noted above will be increased to 55%. Unpaid parental/pregnancy leave (if taken) will commence immediately following the end of this paid leave period.

Unpaid parental/pregnancy leave (if taken) will commence immediately following the end of this paid leave period.
Paid Parental/Pregnancy Leave. An employee who is the primary care provider and who is currently on an active work assignment and who meets the eligibility criteria in 17.02 (b) shall be eligible to receive, on a weekly basis, 100% of the employee’s regular wages of the work assignment(s) for the first two (2) weeks (but no more than 100% of the employee’s regular weekly wages, less applicable EI weekly earnings), and 45% of their regular wages for the remaining term of their current work assignment(s). In circumstances where the employee is ineligible for Parental/Pregnancy benefits under Employment Insurance (E.I.) the 45% noted above will be increased to 55%. Unpaid parental/pregnancy leave (if taken) will commence immediately following the end of this paid leave period.

  • Pregnancy Leave (a) Pregnancy leave will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act, except where amended in this provision.

  • Pregnancy/Birth Allowance (a) A Nurse entitled to pregnancy leave under the provisions of this Agreement, who provides the Employer with proof that she has applied for, and is eligible to receive employment insurance (E.I.) benefits pursuant to Section 22, Employment Insurance Act, S.C. 1996, c.23, shall be paid an allowance in accordance with the Supplementary Employment Benefit (S.E.B.).

  • PREGNANCY LEAVE BENEFITS Common Central Provisions a) The Employer shall provide for permanent and long-term occasional teachers and teachers hired into a term position who access such leaves, a SEB plan to top up their E.I.
