PARTICIPATING STUDENTS. 5.1 A SCHOOL DISTRICT student enrolled in CCAP Agreement Courses shall not be assessed any fee that is prohibited by Education Code sections 49011. (Ed. Code, § 76004, subd. (f).) MPCCD shall exempt Special Part-Time Students participating in CCAP Agreement Courses from the fee requirements in Education Code sections 76060.5, 76223, 76300, 76350, and 79121. (Ed. Code, § 76004, subd. (q).) 5.2 The total cost of books and instructional materials for SCHOOL DISTRICT students who enroll in a COLLEGE course offered as part of this CCAP Agreement will be specified in the CCAP Agreement Appendix. Costs will be borne by SCHOOL DISTRICT. 5.3 Participating Students must meet all MPCCD prerequisite requirements as established by the MPCCD and stated in the COLLEGE catalog before enrolling in a course offered as part of this CCAP Agreement. 5.4 Grades earned by students enrolled in courses offered as part of this CCAP Agreement will be posted on the official COLLEGE transcript. Students may submit a request for Pass/No Pass if the course is designated as such in the COLLEGE catalog. 5.5 Students enrolled in courses offered as part of this CCAP Agreement will be directed to the official catalog of the COLLEGE for information regarding applicable policies and procedures. 5.6 Students enrolled in COLLEGE courses offered as part of this CCAP Agreement will be eligible for student support services, which shall be available to them at the COLLEGE or through the SCHOOL DISTRICT. COLLEGE shall ensure that student support services, including admissions and records, counseling and guidance, assistance with assessment and placement, and tutoring are available to Participating Students at the COLLEGE. SCHOOL DISTRICT shall ensure that support services, including counseling and guidance, and assistance with assessment and placement are available to students at the SCHOOL DISTRICT. 5.7 The SCHOOL DISTRICT and MPCCD hereby represent and warrant that they will satisfy their respective obligations pursuant to state and federal law regarding students with disabilities who enroll in CCAP Agreement Courses. 5.8 Students who withdraw from courses offered as part of this CCAP Agreement will not receive COLLEGE credit. Students must comply with, and submit appropriate information/paperwork, by all published deadlines. Both COLLEGE and SCHOOL DISTRICT will insure that ancillary and support services are provided for students (e.g. Counseling and Guidance, Placement Assistance, Assessment, and Tutoring.) 5.4. Both COLLEGE and SCHOOL DISTRICT will be jointly responsible for providing matriculation services for students enrolling in the dual enrollment program classes. 5.5. All SCHOOL DISTRICT students must be fully matriculated to the college prior to taking COLLEGE courses including application, assessment, and orientation. 5.6. Dual enrollment students will have access to COLLEGE services such as the library, tutoring, student I.D. cards etc. 5.7. Student identification, recruitment, and selection into the dual enrollmentprogram will be the responsibility of both the COLLEGE and SCHOOL DISTTRICT
PARTICIPATING STUDENTS. In the early 1990s, more than 1,000 Washington residents attended college in a neighboring state/province and a roughly equivalent number of nonresidents attended college in Washington under reciprocity provisions. The highest participation occurred in 1990-1991, when 1,314 Washington residents attended college in Oregon, Idaho, and the Province of British Columbia and 1,103 students from these three states/province went to school in Washington. The Washington/Oregon reciprocity agreement affected the largest number of students, with more than 900 Washington residents studying in Oregon and 800 Oregon residents enrolled in Washington institutions.
