Parties and Coverage. 1.1.1 This Agreement is entered into by: The Secretary for Education (Secretary) acting under delegation from the State Services Commissioner made pursuant to section 23 and acting in accordance with section 74(5) of the State Sector Act 1988(external link) (as amended by the Employment Relations Act 2000); and The New Zealand Educational Institute Te Riu Roa (NZEI Te Riu Roa).
1.1.2 This Agreement is binding on: Each principal who comes within the coverage set out in clause1.1.3 and who is or who becomes a member of NZEI Te Riu Roa; and Every employer as defined in clause 1.4.3 below.
1.1.3 This Agreement covers work undertaken in state and state-integrated schools by principals in: Primary schools (including normal schools, model schools and intermediate schools); Composite schools other than area schools; Special schools.

(a) 20 District Health Boards as follows: Northland District Health Board, Waitemata District Health Board, Auckland District Health Board, Counties Manukau District Health Board, Waikato District Health Board, Bay of Plenty District Health Board, Lakes District Health Board, Tairawhiti District Health Board, Taranaki District Health Board, Hawkes Bay District Health Board, Whanganui District Health Board, MidCentral District Health Board, Capital and Coast District Health Board, Hutt Valley District Health Board, Wairarapa District Health Board, Xxxxxx Marlborough District Health Board, West Coast District Health Board, Canterbury District Health Board, South Canterbury District Health Board, Southern District Health Board; hereinafter referred to individually as the “employer” and collectively as “DHBs”.
(b) The Specialty Trainees of New Zealand herein after referred to as “STONZ” or the “union”.
1.2 The collective agreement shall be available to Resident Medical Officers (including junior dental officers) employed by the employing District Health Board on clinical and/or associated duties, including but not restricted to those who have the following designations: • House Officer/Senior House Officer • Registrar • Training Registrar And shall include any Medical Officer participating in an RMO roster or undergoing a programme of training recognised by the District Health Boards and Specialty College or vocational scope of practice registration training body.

1.2 This collective agreement shall apply to all those employees defined below:
1.2.1 Resident Medical Officers employed by the employing District Health Board on medical and/or associated duties, including but not restricted to those who have the following designations: • Final Year Student • House Officer • Senior House Officer • Registrar • Junior Dental Officer And shall include any Medical Officer participating in an RMO roster or undergoing a programme of training recognised by the District Health Boards and speciality college or vocational scope of practice registration training body.
1.3 The parties have agreed to the establishment of national and local resident doctor engagement groups to cement and support the relationship between the DHBs, RMOs and NZRDA. The terms of reference for the National Resident Doctor Engagement Group (NREG) are set out in Schedule 5. The terms of reference for the Local Resident Doctor Engagement Groups (LREGs) are set out in Schedule 6.
1.4 Subject to Section 58 Employment Relations Act 2000, if an employee who is covered by the terms and conditions in the collective agreement, joins another union and becomes covered by a different collective agreement, or alternatively, the employer is required by law to provide the employee with the terms and conditions of a different applicable collective agreement, then the terms and conditions contained within this agreement will cease to apply in their entirety. Parties and Coverage. 1.1 This Collective Agreement shall apply to all employees who are employed or engaged to be employed to perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic medical physics concerned with cancer treatment, medical imaging, radiation protection, ophthalmology and any other areas primarily involving ionizing and non ionizing radiations, including but not restricted to the following designations: Medical Physicists Medical Physics Registrar and any other employee substantially employed as a medical physicist or medical physics registrar, but who may from time to time use (an) alternative title(s).
1.2 The parties to this Collective Agreement are:
a) Auckland District Health Board (ADHB) (hereinafter referred to as “the employer”)
b) Waikato District Health Board (WDHB) (hereinafter referred to as “the employer”)
c) MidCentral District Health Board (MCDHB) (hereinafter referred to as “the employer”)
d) Capital and Coast District Health Board (C&CDHB) (hereinafter referred to as “the employer”)

1.3 This Agreement shall be binding on the parties to it.
1.4 The parties agree that any employee who is engaged by the employer from the date this agreement comes into effect and the expiry of this agreement shall be offered in writing the opportunity to become a party to this agreement. The name of the new employees shall be forwarded to APEX.

(c) If they are named by the FWC as parties covered by the Agreement:
(i) the Automotive, Food, Metals, Engineering, Printing and Kindred Industries Union known as the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union (AMWU);
(ii) the Construction Forestry Maritime Mining and Energy Union (CFMMEU); and
(iii) the Communications, Electrical, Electronic, Energy, Information, Postal, Plumbing and Allied Services Union of Australia (CEPU), including the branches referred to as the Electrical Trades Union (ETU) and Plumbing and Pipe Trades Employees Union (PPTEU);
4.2 Maintenance Work is covered by this Agreement and Employers will not employ such maintenance workers under the handyperson classifications under the Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 or it’s successors.
