Pay for Processing Grievances. Stewards and employees necessary for the resolution of grievances shall be paid at their regular straight time rate of pay for all reasonable time lost from their regularly scheduled hours required to process grievances or participate in grievance meetings or arbitrations. It is understood that this provision should not be subject to abuse by the employee.

  • Processing Grievances The grievant shall be granted reasonable time off with pay from regularly scheduled duty hours to process a grievance, provided that the time off will be devoted to the prompt and efficient investigation and handling of grievances, subject to the following:
