Payment During Absence. In any case where because of a serious extended personal illness or injury a bargaining unit Lecturer cannot complete his/her duties related to the lecturer’s course assignment(s) he/she shall continue to receive 60% of pay for the semester if the Lecturer has completed 60% of the course assignment(s). In all cases in which a faculty member seeks payment during such absence, a physician’s statement will be required. The University may also ask a faculty member to present a certification of fitness to return to work from any such absence.

Payment During Absence. In any case where because of a serious extended personal illness or injury, or because of birth or adoption of a child, as identified in Article 20.11 above, a bargaining unit member cannot complete their duties related to the lecturer’s course assignment(s) they shall continue to receive 60% of pay for the semester if the Lecturer has completed 60% of the course assignment(s). Sick time will not count toward completion of the course assignment(s). In all cases in which a faculty member seeks payment during such absence, a physician’s statement will be required. The University may also ask a faculty member to present a certification of fitness to return to work from any such absence.
Payment During Absence. 16.2.2.1 An Artist who is absent from work as a result of illness or injury and has followed the procedure set out above shall be paid full Salary (inclusive of any contractual responsibility payments due to the Artist) for each day of absence for a maximum period of six Weeks for a twelve-month contractual period (pro-rata of six Weeks for any contract of less than 12 months’ duration) commencing with the date of the first rehearsal; or a maximum period of eight Weeks in respect of an Artist who has completed one year’s service with the Manager.

  • Refund During Cooling-Off Period The PEI will provide the Student with a cooling-off period of seven (7) working days after the date that the Contract has been signed by both parties. The Student will be refunded the highest percentage (stated in Schedule D) of the fees already paid if the Student submits a written notice of withdrawal to the PEI within the cooling-off period, regardless of whether the Student has started the course or not.

  • Benefits Not Paid During Certain Periods Benefits will not be paid when an employee is:

  • Accrual During Leave Without Pay No employee who has been granted a leave without pay or unpaid military leave shall accrue any vacation credit during the time of such leave, nor shall an employee who is absent without pay accrue vacation credit during the absence.

  • Approved Leave of Absence During Vacation Where it can be established by the employee through a doctor's certificate that an illness or accident occurred, or where an employee qualifies for bereavement or any other approved leave during his/her period of vacation, there shall be no deduction from vacation credits for such absence. The period of vacation so displaced shall either be added to the vacation or reinstated for use at a later date, at the employee's option, as mutually agreed.

  • Sick Leave During Leave of Absence (F/T) When an Employee is given leave of absence without pay for any reason, or is laid off on account of lack of work, he/she shall not continue to accumulate sick leave and shall not be entitled to receive pay for sickness for the period of such absence, but shall retain his/her cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such leave or lay-off.

  • Approved Leave of Absence With Pay During Vacation When an employee is qualified for bereavement leave, sick leave or any other approved leave with pay during her vacation period, there shall be no deduction from the vacation credits for such leave. In the case of sick leave, this section shall only apply when the period of illness or injury is in excess of two (2) days and a note from a physician may be required. The period of vacation so displaced shall be taken at a mutually agreed time. An employee intending to claim displaced vacation leave must advise the Employer and provide necessary documentation within seven (7) days of returning to work.

  • Benefits During Layoff Temporary Full-Time and Regular Full-Time Employees who have gained seniority rights and who are laid off from employment due to lack of work shall be entitled to leave without pay status until the end of the calendar month following the month during which layoff occurs, for purpose of continuing coverage under the Health and Welfare Benefit plans on which they have been enrolled, e.g., B.C. Medical, Extended Health, Dental Plan, Group Life Insurance, Long Term Total Disability Plan, and Optional Additional Life Insurance coverage. The City agrees to ensure that such leave without pay status and benefit coverage continues in effect at the employee's cost during such period, provided that such cost is paid in advance by or recovered from the employee concerned.

  • Employment During Unpaid Maternity Leave (a) Special Temporary Employment

  • Work During Vacation Period No employee shall be required to work during the employee's vacation once the vacation request has been approved.
