PERA. 32.1 The County shall allow any employee possessing a full or part-time peace officer’s license who has been appointed as a deputy sheriff and xxxx recorded to participate in PERA police and fire retirement if XXXX agrees to allow said participation.

PERA. The City acknowledges and agrees that the Lessee has paid on the Effective Date to the City or its designee an amount relating to the Colorado Public EmployeesRetirement Association (the “PERA Contribution”). The PERA Contribution (including earnings thereon) may be used by the City or its designee in any manner that the City or its designee elects, in their sole and absolute discretion, provided that the City shall use reasonable efforts to resolve the PERA Liability in a manner that does not result in any liability or other obligation of the Lessee, UC Health, Children’s Hospital or their Affiliates with respect to the PERA Liability. It is expressly acknowledged and agreed that this provision is a fixed contractual obligation between the Parties, and the Lessee, UC Health, Children’s Hospital and their Affiliates shall have no direct, indirect, residual or other liability with respect to or related to the PERA Liability, irrespective of whether the City’s ultimate PERA liability is less than, 14 - 038094/000003 -3386784 v12 equal to, or greater than the PERA Contribution, and the City hereby unconditionally releases the Lessee, UC Health, Children’s Hospital and their Affiliates from any claims related to the PERA Liability.
PERA. The Public Employees’ Retirement Association governs a state-legislated retirement act, which is an alternative to the Federal Social Security Act, and administers a plan to assist in making your retirement benefits possible. Xxxxx County School District 50 joined PERA in January of 1952. All District employees are covered by the PERA Act.‌ Each employee contributes eight percent of his or her adjusted gross income to the PERA retirement plan. Xxxxx County School District 50 additionally contributes funds pursuant to PERA Employer rates based on the adjusted gross income for each employee in the plan. All contributions are forwarded to the Public Employees Retirement Association. Any employee who terminates employment with the District may withdraw his or her accumulated individual contribution, not including the District’s contributions, upon application to PERA. Any employee who is considering retiring from and/or terminating employment with the District is encouraged to discuss their options with a PERA counselor. Additionally, any employee of the District who is considered to be “vested” in the PERA system and becomes disabled may be entitled to receive benefits through the PERA Act. PERA. To comply with the requirements of the PERA, any employee covered by this Agreement whose sick leave is entirely used and who is not able to return to normal duties because of illness, the School Board will pass a resolution granting a temporary leave of absence and will notify the office of the PERA of this action.
