PERIODIC EVALUATIONS. County or Bank shall be entitled to a meeting at least once every six (6) months to evaluate the working relationship between the County and the Bank for the purpose of addressing any problems and seeking reasonable solutions.

It shall enable evaluators to deter- mine whether the verification procedures and requests for prior agreement have been properly applied and whether the levels of the quality indicators are increasing. This evaluation shall be based on the job description for the position of Superintendent, the goals and objectives of the school system for the year in question, and the specific performance objectives outlined in Attachment 1 to this Contract. A copy of all written evaluations shall be delivered to the Superintendent immediately after the preparation of same. The Superintendent shall have the right to file a response to the evaluation. This response shall become a permanent attachment to the evaluation and the Superintendent's personnel file. Within thirty (30) days of the delivery of the written evaluation to the Superintendent, the Board shall meet with the Superintendent to discuss the evaluation. SUPERINTENDENT EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT ATTACHMENT 1 - - During each year of the term of this Contract and any renewals thereof, the Superintendent shall meet or exceed the following performance objectives: 1. Maintain a district student graduation rate of at least eighty (80%) percent. $2,000 Stipend 2. Increase the district’s overall student progress/growth. $2,000 Stipend 3. Increase or maintain student attendance rate at ninety (90%) percent present for the district. $2,000 Stipend 4. A minimum of ninety (90%) percent of the VAM teachers in the district will be labeled effective: emerging or higher. $2,000 Stipend 5. Achieve a district performance score of A or B. $5,000 Stipend 6. Increase third grade numeracy growth as determined by the State-approved numeracy screener. $2,000 Stipend 7. PERIODIC EVALUATIONS. The Superintendent shall evaluate in writing the performance of the Deputy Superintendent on an annual basis no later than January. A copy of all written evaluations shall be delivered to the Deputy Superintendent immediately after the preparation of same. In the event that such evaluation is less than satisfactory (or its equivalent), the Superintendent shall provide the Board with a copy of such evaluation. The Deputy Superintendent shall have the right to file a written response to the evaluation. This response shall become a permanent attachment to the evaluation and the Deputy Superintendent’s personnel file.

The evaluation will be in writing and provided to the Superintendent and presented to the Superintendent no later than November 30th of each year to coincide with the results of the review of the District’s performance by the State Board of Education. The Board agrees to consider the effects of the COVID-19 health crisis existing at the time of the entering into this Agreement when evaluating the Superintendent. This response shall become a permanent attachment to the evaluation and the Superintendent's personnel file. The Board and the Superintendent may meet after each evaluation to add, delete or amend any performance objectives based on the findings of the evaluation and the Superintendent’s overall performance during the time of the last evaluation.

PERIODIC EVALUATIONS. Each employee shall be evaluated in writing at least once per year or more often as management may deem necessary or as required by Civil Service rules and regulations or other such legal mandates. Nothing herein is intended to preclude corrective action by the Employer at any time management considers it necessary.

The Superintendent’s evaluation is designed to assess the Superintendent’s effectiveness in leading the District toward accomplishing its mission and vision; to define the School Board’s expectations; to enhance communication and a positive working relationship between the School Board and Superintendent; to provide feedback and support for the Superintendent’s professional growth; to clarify and prioritize District goals, and to focus on the critical responsibility of improving achievement for all students. No later than March 1 of each year of this Contract, the Board and the Superintendent shall meet to discuss and agree on performance targets and objectives for the relevant upcoming school year to be used in Section IV. Paragraph C. No later than March 1, for each year of this Contract, the Board shall evaluate the Superintendent, including progress in achieving the agreed upon goals, using a mutually agreed upon form. No later than February 1 of each year of this Contract, the Superintendent shall provide the Board a self- appraisal using the agreed upon form. In conducting the Superintendent's evaluation, the Board shall consider the Superintendent's self-appraisal. A copy of all written evaluations shall be delivered to the Superintendent immediately after the preparation of the same. The Superintendent shall have the right to file a written response to the evaluation. This response shall become a permanent attachment to the evaluation and the Superintendent's personnel file. Within thirty (30) days of the delivery of the written evaluation to the Superintendent the Board may meet with the Superintendent to discuss the evaluation.

No later than January 1, 2022 and no later than January 1 for each subsequent year of this Contract, the Board shall evaluate the Superintendent, including progress in achieving the agreed upon goals, using the agreed upon form. No later than November 1, 2021 and no later than each subsequent November 1 of this Contract, the Superintendent shall provide the Board a self-appraisal using the agreed upon form. In conducting the Superintendent’s evaluation, the Board shall consider the Superintendent’s self-appraisal. A copy of all written evaluations shall be delivered to the Superintendent immediately after the preparation of the same. The Superintendent shall have the right to file a written response to the evaluation. This response shall become a permanent attachment to the evaluation and the Superintendent’s personnel file.
