Personal Need Day. Employees who have completed nine (9) months of service may use up to two (2) days during the fiscal year for any personal reason. Such days will be charged to the Employee's Illness Day Plan provided the Employee gives his/her Supervisor three (3) working days notice and the work schedule permits such absence. In exceptional cases one (1) day notice will be acceptable. * Immediate Family will be defined as: husband, wife, father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, grandmother, grandfather, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in- law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, and son-in-law. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren shall be considered members of the immediate family only if living in the Employee's immediate household. Where a situation exists which is not covered by these relationships, determination will be made by the Human Resources Division.

Such days are not to be taken after a request for time off (for the same day) has been denied. However, management exceptions may be made based on the production of verification of absence (when deemed appropriate). Such days are to be taken in full-day increments. * Immediate Family will be defined as: husband, wife, father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, grandmother, grandfather, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in- law, daughter-in-law, and son-in-law.   • Personal Leave Day A. An employee may choose one (1) workday as a personal leave day each fiscal year during the life of this Agreement if the employee has been continuously employed for more than four (4) months.

  • Personal Necessity Leave 13.2.1 A maximum of seven (7) days of sick leave may be used by an employee in any school year for personal necessity, for the following purposes:

  • Personal Time Employees shall be eligible to take accrued PTO time for personal reasons. Such time must be scheduled in advance in accordance with Employer policies and be approved by the employee's supervisor. Personal time PTO must be taken in at least one hour increments.

  • Personal Leaves 8.11.4.1 As approved by the Board, personal leaves without pay may be granted in cases of exceptional need for up to six (6) months.   • Application for Personal Leave 21.24 Reasonable and legitimate requests for personal leave will be approved subject to available credits. Subject to clause 21.8 the employer may grant personal leave in the following circumstances:

  • Personal Leave of Absence The Administrator may grant a request for leave of absence for personal reasons without pay provided that he receives at least one (1) month's clear notice, in writing, unless impossible, and provided that such leave may be arranged without undue inconvenience to the normal operations of the Nursing Home. Employees when applying for such leave shall indicate the proposed date of departure and return. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave of Absence 1. Any employee may apply for an unpaid personal leave of absence for good and sufficient reason. Leave pursuant to this provision may be for a period not exceeding twelve (12) months in any fourteen (14) consecutive months. Such leave may be granted at the discretion of the appointing authority and shall not be unreasonably denied. Employees are encouraged to consult with their agency/department Personnel Officer to determine if they are eligible for benefits available under the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act. All requests for such leave and responses shall be in writing. The application for leave must specifically state the reasons for such application and the length of time requested. After completion of a period of personal leave of absence, the employee shall be entitled to return to the organizational unit, status and position held immediately prior to the beginning of the leave of absence. If the employee's position is abolished during any such leave, he/she shall be notified and allowed to exercise his/her rights under the Seniority Article of this Agreement.

  • Personal Holidays An employee may choose one (1) workday as a personal holiday during each calendar year if the employee has been continuously employed by the State of Washington for more than four (4) months.

  • Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave 7.3.1 All full time employees shall be entitled to accrue paid personal / carer's leave on the basis of 10 days per year (or pro-rata thereof for any period less than one year). Part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata benefit. Paid personal / carer's leave is cumulative.
