Personal Sick Leave Time. (a) In addition to the New York City Earned Sick Time described above, there is no set number of leave days available for personal illness. Individuals who arc out sick are paid for the day. However, these days must be used for the employee's personal illness only, and cannot be applied to care for family members. An employee absent because of personal illness must notify his/ her supervisor and/ or department head as close as possible to his or her scheduled start time. (b) Personal sick leave can be used when an employee has a mental or physical illness, injury, or health condition; or needs to get a medical diagnosis, care or treatment of a mental or physical illness, injury, or condition; or the employee needs to get preventive medical care. This also includes absence covered by the Family Medical Leave Act policy as described in the University's Institutional Policies and Procedures document;

  • Personal Sick Leave The following provisions will apply to all employees (other than casual employees) covered by this Agreement.

  • Sick Leave Use An employee shall be granted sick leave with pay to the extent of the employee's accumulation for absences necessitated by the following conditions:

  • Accumulated Sick Leave ‌ The Employer shall inform all employees at least once each year of the number of sick days accumulated and shall make the information available to an employee on request.

  • Vacation; Sick Leave During the Employment Term, the Executive shall be entitled to not less than four (4) weeks of vacation during each calendar year and sick leave in accordance with the Company’s policies and practices with respect to its executives.

  • Accumulation of Sick Leave The unused portion of an Employee's sick leave shall accrue for her future benefit, up to a maximum of one hundred and thirty (130) days.

  • Vacation and Sick Leave During the Term, Executive shall be entitled to (a) sick leave in accordance with the Company’s policies applicable to similarly situated executive officers of the Company from time to time and (b) 4 weeks paid vacation each calendar year (up to 40 hours of which may be carried forward to a succeeding year).
