Common use of Personal Unpaid Leave Clause in Contracts

Personal Unpaid Leave. Leave of absence without pay (which shall not include employment for another employer) may be granted by the superintendent for up to one thirty (30) day period per school year. Such leave shall not involve loss of seniority. No two (2) employees shall be granted leave at the same time. It is understood that an individual employee will be limited to one (1) leave of absence without pay during a school year. Leave, due to critical illness in the immediate family, may be an exception if the individual receives approval from the Board of Education.
