PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION. Pacific Islands University is a Christian academic institution committed to a biblical philosophy of education, centered on the revelation of the triune God, which culminates in Xxxxx Xxxxxx, and has its full understanding only through the Scriptures. PIU is committed to the Bible as God’s holy and inerrant Word, and to the integration of all knowledge under its authority. The process of equipping students with a working knowledge of God’s Word is based on the conviction that the foundational principles for every area of learning are in the Bible. PIU seeks to stimulate the spiritual development of its students according to the biblical mandate of discipleship, and to provide academic, social, and spiritual resources so students can mature and develop their gifts to serve the Lord. The study of God’s truth as revealed in Scripture and the search for academic truth at PIU are guided by experienced, spiritual, qualified faculty members, who understand that their responsibility as Christian leaders, under the ministry of the Holy Spirit, is to impart biblical truth, and to train students to discern truth. Thus, they assist students to acquire the information, skills, perspectives, and commitment necessary for effective Christian service. In addition, the faculty and staff provide an educational environment of Christian integrity and love that enhances and supports the learning experience. The goal of PIU is to provide servant leaders whose lives are well integrated with a solid, biblical worldview and who accept their responsibilities to glorify God and serve their fellow man. Some students will enter vocational Christian service, while others will be a vital testimony in the community and the local church. All are taught to evaluate critically the issues of life against the standard of God’s inspired Word. STATEMENT OF FAITH

PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION. Heritage Bible College was established to provide systematic and comprehensive training in the Word of God from a Pentecostal perspective. The philosophy of Heritage Bible College is Xxxxxx centered and is rooted in the truths of the Word of God. All truth is regarded as originating and coming from God and is therefore to be fully pursued and internalized. The College believes in the education of the whole person. The educational process is Xxxxxx centered and is aimed at the entire being: Body, Mind, and Spirit. The Scriptures are the basis for the learning experience and are recognized as the source and the integrating force for all Biblical Christian Education. Personal Christian development is an aim of Heritage Bible College. The college stresses the enhancement of spiritual growth and promotes a wholesome Christian attitude in the life of the student. Heritage Bible College integrates the Bible with all other areas of study. This process becomes a vehicle that leads the student into the knowledge of natural as well as revealed truth. In this process, the student must recognize the Holy Spirit as the ultimate teacher and the Bible as the supreme authority. It also provides the rubric for a right interaction with society and a right relationship with God. The commitment of Heritage Bible College is that it is, and shall always be, a Bible College. There are no aspirations to be a liberal arts college but to be a Bible College fulfilling a basic need and unique purpose within the Kingdom of God.
PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION. The Board of Education has the right to determine and develop the philosophy of education. The Association agrees to abide by this philosophy as the basis for all teacher-pupil relationships.

We believe each student is created in the image of God, and every student has the ability to learn. We work to provide each student with varied learning experiences, that they may grow spiritually,intellectually, socially, morally, and physically. The school supports the home, church, and community by providing each individual student with the opportunity to make his or her best contribution to society.

  • Board of Education a) If the unit member and the Association are not satisfied with the decision at Stage 2, the Grievance Committee will file an appeal in writing with the Board of Education within fifteen (15) school days after receiving the decision at Stage 2. The official grievance record maintained by the Superintendent of Schools shall be available for the use of the Board of Education.

  • Employee Education (A) The state may allow employees time off with pay for the purpose of attending short courses, institutes, and workshops that will improve their performance in their current position.

  • HOME EDUCATION 1. Educational services that may be required for home education students as defined in School Act, Part II, Div. 4, Sec. 12 & 13 and School Act Regulations, Sec. (3), shall be provided by bargaining unit members.

  • Adult Education Teachers of Adult Education shall be paid at the rate of thirty-five ($35.00) an hour. Break time will not be deducted from teachers’ pay.

  • Required Education (a) The Employer shall provide and fund any Employer required training/education for a Nurse.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • BOARD OF EDUCATION RIGHTS A. The Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of the electors of the district, hereby retains and reserves unto itself, without limitation, all powers, rights, authority, duties, and responsibilities conferred upon and invested in it by the laws and the Constitution of the State of Michigan, and/or the management and control of school properties, facilities, grades and courses of instruction, materials used for instruction, and the selection, direction, transfer, promotion, demotion, discipline or dismissal of all personnel.

  • Purpose of Educator Evaluation A) This contract language is locally negotiated and based on M.G.L., c.71, § 38; M.G.L. c.150E; the Educator Evaluation regulations, 603 CMR 35.00 et seq.; and the Model System for Educator Evaluation developed and which may be updated from time to time by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. See 603 CMR 35.02 (definition of model system). In the event of a conflict between this collective bargaining agreement and the governing laws and regulations, the laws and regulations will prevail.
