Police Training Officer (PTO). While assigned to train recruit officers, PTOs shall receive six (6) hours of overtime for every forty (40) hour block of training each week. Substitute PTOs who are required to train recruit officers on a day-by-day basis due to the absence of the regularly assigned PTO, shall receive one (1) hour of overtime for each full day (10 hours) of completed recruit training and the assigned PTO shall receive one (1) hour of overtime for each full day of completed recruit training that took place during that week. Officers assigned to train Reserve Officers shall also be compensated with six (6) hours of overtime at the completion of each forty (40) hour block of training certified to the Reserve Coordinator. Additional overtime compensation can be granted by the PTO Coordinator or Watch Commander when specific training needs have been identified. PTOs assigned to the Orientation Program shall receive six (6) hours of overtime for every forty (40) hour block of training each week.

Police Training Officer (PTO). Any employee who is assigned by the Chief or his designee as a Training Officer in the department’s training program shall be paid additional compensation of ten percent (10%) of the employee's base pay for the period of participation. Assignment in the Training Officer Program is solely at the discretion of the Police Chief or his designee and is not subject to the grievance procedures.
Police Training Officer (PTO) responsible for the training and oversite of all probationary officers or remedial training of existing officers as directed by the Chief of Police or their designee. Up to four (4) officers certified and assigned as a PTO will be paid an additional eight percent (8%) of the officer’s hourly base rate of pay for all hours worked. Paid time not worked, such as vacation, sick, non-worked holidays, funeral and standby will not be eligible for the additional 8% premium pay. Additional officers certified and assigned as PTO outside of the 4 “all hours worked” officers will be paid an additional eight percent (8%) of the officer’s hourly base rate of pay for time spent engaged in PTO related activities.

  • Job Training ‌ The Employer and the Union shall establish a Joint Committee on Training and Skill Upgrading for the following purposes: (1) for planning training programs for those employees affected by technological change; (2) for planning training programs to enable employees to qualify for new positions being planned through future expansion or renovation; (3) for planning training programs for those employees affected by new methods of operation; (4) for planning training programs in the area of general skill upgrading. Whenever necessary, this Committee shall seek the assistance of external training resources such as the Federal Human Resources Development Canada and Provincial Ministry of Labour, or other recognized training institutions.

  • Hearing Officer The Hearing Officer shall be jointly selected by the parties within thirty (30) days of the execution of this contract and shall serve for a minimum of one (1) year from the date of selection. At that time the parties may choose to re-appoint the Hearing Officer or select a different Hearing Officer who will also serve for a minimum of one (1) year from date of selection.

  • Employment and Training Administration The ratio of trainees to journeymen on the job site shall not be greater than permitted under the plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration. Every trainee must be paid at not less than the rate specified in the approved program for the trainee's level of progress, expressed as a percentage of the journeyman hourly rate specified in the applicable wage determination. Trainees shall be paid fringe benefits in accordance with the provisions of the trainee program. If the trainee program does not mention fringe benefits, trainees shall be paid the full amount of fringe benefits listed on the wage determination unless the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division determines that there is an apprenticeship program associated with the corresponding journeyman wage rate on the wage determination which provides for less than full fringe benefits for apprentices. Any employee listed on the payroll at a trainee rate who is not registered and participating in a training plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the classification of work actually performed. In addition, any trainee performing work on the job site in excess of the ratio permitted under the registered program shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the work actually performed. In the event the Employment and Training Administration withdraws approval of a training program, the contractor will no longer be permitted to utilize trainees at less than the applicable predetermined rate for the work performed until an acceptable program is approved.

  • Maintenance Training 16.8.1 The Seller will provide maintenance training for the Buyer’s ground personnel as further set forth in Appendix A to this Clause 16. The available courses will be as listed in the Seller’s Customer Services Catalog current at the time of the course. The practical training provided in the frame of maintenance training will be performed on the training devices in use in the Seller’s Training Centers.
