Preliminary Geotechnical Report Sample Clauses

Preliminary Geotechnical Report. The Preliminary Geotechnical Report will be provided as a short memo. The preliminary report will be based on available subsurface data from nearby projects (if available), geologic and topographic mapping, and any other available documents provided by the client or the County. The report will summarize anticipated surface and subsurface conditions based on reference data/site exposures, provide seismic input parameters consistent with current Caltrans practice, discuss approach and bank conditions — slope stability, cut/fill slopes, excavation conditions — and discuss conditions and constraints on likely foundation types. We would also expect to consult with the designer regarding specific geotechnical issues that may affect project planning and preliminary design.

Preliminary Geotechnical Report. Site visits will be performed and available data will be reviewed, including geotechnical data developed for the Project. Possible geotechnical/geologic impacts and mitigation measures will be discussed on a broad basis including but not limited to slope stability, geology, seismic impacts and risk, erosion, groundwater conditions, etc. for proposed bridge widenings, retaining walls, soundwalls, cuts and embankments. Generally, the geotechnical issues relevant to the project will be presented in a qualitative manner with no specific design recommendations. Potential mitigation measures will also be provided in a discussion format. All of this will be incorporated into a Preliminary Geotechnical Report. Structure Preliminary Geotechnical Reports (SPGR) will be prepared for each bridge, in accordance with Caltrans standards, to support the APS submittals. It is expected that up to seven SPGRs will be required. Typical fieldwork will consist of a brief site visit only. The SPGR will provide an overview of the existing foundations, site geology, seismicity, and, if possible, recommendations regarding suitable and unsuitable foundation types. If appropriate, the SPGR will also discuss the anticipated field and laboratory work required to support the future Preliminary Foundation Reports and the future Foundation Reports. Other efforts include providing support and information to the design team for the Life-Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) and other input on the alternatives regarding excavations, fill slopes, retaining wall decisions, and possible mitigation measures for settlement and liquefaction issues that can be expected. Task 4.9 – Construction Cost Estimate and Schedule CONSULTANT will prepare a Project Report Level Cost Estimate and Schedule, in accordance with Caltrans requirements. Major construction items, quantities, unit prices, and soft costs will be identified to estimate total project costs including allowances for mobilization and contingencies (appropriate for this level of design detail). Cost variants for alternatives will be estimated, if necessary. Right-of-way and utility relocation costs will be approximated at this stage of design using available information.
Preliminary Geotechnical Report. Shall include a description of the project; a site description; geologic conditions; a summary of field explorations, laboratory testing and design recommendations. Design recommendations shall include construction techniques to optimize constructed soils conditions and the objective of the project and any potential threats to the project, as surface or subsurface drainage. Appendices of site maps, boring logs, laboratory results etc shall also be included in this report.

  • Technical Reports deliver to the Agent, and shall procure that the Manager shall deliver to the Agent, on request copies of the latest complete technical reports in respect of the Vessels.

  • MEDICAL REPORT The Agency/Department Head as a condition of granting sick leave with pay, may require medical evidence of sickness or injury acceptable to the Agency/Department. The acceptable medical evidence must be obtained from a medical practitioner currently treating the employee or the employee’s family member.

  • Preliminary Engineering In order to receive City review and approval of the Extensions, Developer shall furnish two (2) copies of the plat map, topographic map and proposed roads profile sheets in electronic format prior to the City’s ordering of the engineering plans from its Engineer. The contour elevation and road profile elevations shall be referenced to NAVD ‘88 datum. In the event Developer’s engineer prepares the construction plans and specifications, the above information shall be a part of the extension construction plans to be reviewed and approved by the City’s Engineer. The final plat map shall be to the scale of 1-inch = 20 feet. The contour map shall have a scale of 1-inch = 20 feet and contour intervals of two (2) feet or less. The road profile sheets shall be to the scale of 1-inch = 20 feet. Developer shall provide a minimum of one benchmark, datum being NAVD ‘88, on the project site; and the elevation and location of the benchmark shall be indicated on the maps furnished by Developer.

  • Final Report The goal of this subtask is to prepare a comprehensive Final Report that describes the original purpose, approach, results, and conclusions of the work performed under this Agreement. The CAM will review the Final Report, which will be due at least two months before the Agreement end date. When creating the Final Report Outline and the Final Report, the Recipient must use the Style Manual provided by the CAM.

  • Medical Reports The following applies to all employees: The Employer agrees to pay the fee for medical reports required by the Employer for Sick Leave or Weekly Indemnity provisions to a maximum of fifty dollars ($50.00).

  • Initial Report An initial performance report no later than 30 days after FEMA has approved the first Public Assistance project.

  • Preliminary Evaluation Site evaluation and planning functions should proceed concurrently with the accomplishment of Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents. The Design Professional shall conduct a preliminary review of the site based on information furnished by the Owner. The Design Professional will advise the Owner of potential site-related problems that the Design Professional notes from such review.

  • Preliminary Examination 2.22.1 The Procuring entity will examine the tenders to determine whether they are complete, whether any computational errors have been made, whether required sureties have been furnished, whether the documents have been properly signed, and whether the tenders are generally in order.

  • Evaluation Report 20.5.4.1 The summary evaluation report shall be prepared by the Faculty Evaluation Committee and administrative evaluator(s) and shall include each evaluator’s individual rating. The summary evaluation report shall take into account the results of each of the evaluation components (Section 20.5.3) in order to arrive at an overall rating. When the committee and the administrative evaluator(s) cannot reach an agreement as to the overall rating, the report must include written explanation.
