Program Leaders. Each party shall appoint a person (a "Program Leader") to coordinate its part of the Program. The Program Leaders shall be the primary contacts between the parties with respect to the Program. Each party shall notify the other within thirty (30) days after the date of this Agreement of the appointment of its Program Leader and shall notify the other party as soon as practicable upon changing this appointment.
Program Leaders. Following a posting and interview process, the Board shall select Program Leaders in each school based on the average number of students in the school on October and March of the year during which the Program Leader positions conclude. Program Leaders. Each Organizational Unit will be led by a teacher who will be designated as a Program Leader as defined in Schedule “C”.
Program Leaders a) Program Leaders shall be appointed on an annual basis in all schools as follows:
(i) In each high school at a rate of one (1) Program Leader per every six (6) full time equivalent teachers on staff in the school as at September 30,each year, and
(ii) In each school other than high schools at a rate of one (1) Program Leader per every eight (8) full time equivalent teachers as at September 30, each year.
Program Leaders. Each party will identify an individual with lead responsibility for the Program. Each party will provide reasonable written notice to the other party before making changes in key personnel. Key personnel for both parties are identified on the "Key Contact List" which is incorporated herein by reference.

15.02 Each Program Leader shall be selected following a posting and interview process. Notices will be posted for a period of five (5) school days between May 1st and May 15th The position will be for a fixed term of three years.
15.03 Upon request, unsuccessful candidates for a Program Leader position will be provided with a debriefing following the selection process.
15.04 Each Program Leader shall receive an allowance as follows: Effective September 1, 2004 this allowance will be $3,590. Effective September 1, 2005 this allowance will be $3,680. Effective September 1, 2006 this allowance will be $3,770. Effective September 1, 2007 this allowance will be $3,860.
15.05 In each school the Program Leaders will be in charge of the following curricular areas or combination thereof:
1. Social Science: Geography, History, Humanities, Family Studies, Native Studies.
2. Student Services: Guidance, Special Education, Co-op, Alternative Education, OYAP.
3. Languages/Communications: English, French, Native Language
4. Mathematics:
5. The Arts: Art, Music, Drama.
6. Technological Studies:
7. Science: Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Geology.
8. Health and Physical Education: 9. Business Studies, Computer Studies/Library and Information Services
15.06 The model for curriculum subject-based Program Leaders for each school will be determined by the Principal of the school after consultation with the In-School Staffing Committee, subject to the approval of the Director.
15.07 In addition to their other leadership responsibilities, each Program Leader shall be responsible for assessment, evaluation practices and instructional strategies within their specific curricular areas. However, in each school one Program Leader shall be designated the school representative for these areas.
15.08 Where a program leader is temporarily absent for a period exceeding twenty (20) consecutive school days, the Board shall appoint a temporary replacement for the duration of the absence or for the balance of the Program Leader's term whichever ends first. b) The Division may, in its discretion, increase the number of Program Leaders, in any school, beyond the number generated by the calculation in this Article.
c) The Principal, in consultation with the teaching staff, will decide on the specific subject or area of responsibility of the Program Leaders to be appointed. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Division may decide, annually, the areas in which Program Leaders shall be assigned.
d) Program Leaders shall be appointed by the Superintendent on the recommendation of the Principal.
e) A pool of substitute days will be allocated to each high school each year equal to eight (8) half days multiplied by the number of Program Leaders in each high school as at September 30 of that year. The substitute days will be used to provide release time to Program Leaders in the high school. The Principal of each high school shall determine the details of how the substitute days will be used.
f) The annual allowance for Program Leaders shall be as follows:
