PROMOTED POSITIONS Sample Clauses

PROMOTED POSITIONS. All promoted positions within the scope of this agreement (see Clause 4) will be remunerated at one of the levels outlined in Appendix A. All of the stated positions are fixed term as specified in Subclause 9.2(c). The process for appointment to a promotional position will be in accordance with SCEA policy. The structure of promoted positions in each school will be clearly documented and ratified by the CEO or his or her delegate. Each promoted position appointed under this agreement will be for a period of time agreed between the employer and employee but will not last longer than three years. During the 12 months prior to completion of the term, a professional support and accountability process will be undertaken as part of the renewal negotiations with the Principal or CEO. In addition to the remuneration for specific positions, an indicative allowance for administrative release is specified in Appendix A. The Principal is able to make adjustments where deemed necessary. Where a staff member may have a range of different leadership responsibilities, it is possible that additional administrative release time may be granted; however, only one single allowance can be paid. Under no circumstances can more than one promoted allowance be paid to an individual. Staff holding a Promoted Position may apply for appointment as a Senior Teacher and a Senior Teacher may apply for a Promoted Position(s). Where a teacher holds both a Senior Teacher appointment and a Promoted Position, the teacher shall be paid the higher allowance and not both.
