Such employee is eligible to participate in non-insured benefit programs at a level proportionate to regular monthly work schedule. Temporary Employee or Seasonal: The Employer agrees that it will employ temporary workers only to supplement or augment the work force. The Employer agrees that temporary workers shall not be used to preclude hiring full-time employees. The term of employment will not exceed six (6) months without mutual agreement of the Employer and the Union. Temporary employees are not eligible to participate in benefit programs nor shall they accrue seniority.

Lateral transfers shall be subject to a three (3) month probationary period. The Employer may extend a probationary employee’s probationary period for up to an additional three (3) months. Any extensions beyond the three (3) month period will be subject to mutual agreement with the Union. In any event, the probationary period shall not exceed twelve (12) months. Newly hired probationary employees shall work subject to the provisions of this agreement but shall be only on a trial basis during which period they may be discharged without cause and without any recourse.
