Recreational Leave Entitlement. (i) You will be entitled to Annual Leave in accordance with Division 4 of Part 7 of the Act, except as provided in this clause. (ii) You must take 10 days Annual Leave from the first day of any pay period commencing on or after the day upon which the Annual Leave credited to you reaches 40 days, unless otherwise directed. (iii) You may elect to receive cash payment in lieu of some or all of your Annual Leave entitlement, subject to: (a) the limitations in the Act, and (b) the University’s consent, which it may withhold at its absolute discretion. (iv) The University will shut down at the conclusion each year and observe University Holidays on those days falling between Boxing Day and New Years Day which are not proclaimed as Public Holidays or observed in lieu of a Bank Holiday by the University in New South Wales. In addition, the University may shut down all or part of its operations from time to time. During any such additional shut down periods, you must take Annual Leave if directed to do so. If the Annual Leave credited to you is insufficient for the period, you must elect either to take leave without pay or to take leave without pay and be paid a pro rata annual salary over the following 12-month period. (v) If you are ill/incapacitated (with Proof of illness) for two or more consecutive days while on Annual Leave you will be placed on Sick Leave (where available) and re- credited equivalent Annual Leave or where you cease employment with the University or die, you or your estate will be paid in lieu of Annual Leave not taken where such leave is accrued. (vi) You will be entitled to 10 Public Holidays each year, as observed in each State or Territory, which are to be taken on the day gazetted by the relevant State or Territory authority, except as provided in this paragraph.   • Leave Entitlement An eligible employee is entitled to take up to a total of twelve (12) 41 work weeks of FMLA leave in a 12-month period, to be measured backwards from the 42 commencement date the employee uses FMLA leave. An eligible employee taking leave 43 under Article 12.02(10)(b) shall be permitted to take up to 26 work weeks of leave in a 44 12-month period.

  • Leave Entitlements (a) A sessional practitioner shall be entitled to pro rata leave entitlements (excluding paid overseas study leave) in the same ratio as the number of sessions allocated bears to 10. If during any qualifying period the number of sessions allocated to a sessional practitioner varies, the number shall be averaged over the qualifying period.   • Sick Leave Entitlement A permanent full-time employee shall earn paid sick leave at the rate of one and one-half (1½) days per month. Sick leave shall accumulate to a total of eighty-five (85) working days. Permanent part-time employees shall be entitled to sick leave on a pro-rata basis.

  • Educational Leave Leave without pay may be granted for educational leave for the duration of actual attendance in an educational program.

  • Entitlement to Leave An employee shall be granted Workers' Compensation leave with pay in the event that the Workers' Compensation Board (WorkSafe BC) determines that the employee has established a claim (time loss benefits) and they are unable to perform their duties by reason of the compensable injury which occurred while employed by the Employer. For the purposes of this clause, pay is defined as the employee's regular take-home wages to ensure that the non-taxable status of Workers' Compensation benefits does not provide an opportunity for an injured worker to earn more while on claim than if they were working. The term claim will not include any form of WCB allowance or pension, and this section will not be operative while an employee is receiving such a different form of payment from WCB arising from this claim.

  • Personal Leaves 8.11.4.1 As approved by the Board, personal leaves without pay may be granted in cases of exceptional need for up to six (6) months. Any such leave exceeding one (1) semester shall not be counted toward tenure or promotion or for computing salary increments. These leaves may be extended by the PVPAA upon recommendation of the xxxx for up to one (1) year.

  • Personal Leave Days Section 1. All employees after completion of six (6) months of service shall be entitled to receive personal leave days in the following manner: (A) All full time employees shall be entitled to twenty-four (24) hours of personal leave with pay each fiscal year; (B) Part-time, seasonal, and job share employees shall be granted such leave in a prorated amount of twenty-four (24) hours based on the same percentage or fraction of month they are hired to work, or as subsequently formally modified, provided it is anticipated that they will work 1,040 hours during the fiscal year; Section 2. Should any employee fail to work 1,040 hours for the fiscal year, the value of personal leave time used may be recovered from the employee. Section 3. Personal leave shall not be cumulative from year to year nor is any unused leave compensable in any other manner. Section 4. Such leave may be used by an employee for any purpose he/she desires and may be taken at times mutually agreeable to the university and the employee.

  • Personal Leave With Pay Full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use up to a maximum of six days personal leave with pay per year provided that such days shall be charged against the employee's currently accrued sick leave. This leave is non-cumulative.
