Relief Rate. An employee relieving a Produce Manager or Assistant Manager who is absent for two (2) or more full shifts (8 hours) shall be paid for such relief work for all time so employed at the Produce Manager's equivalent hourly rate or the Assistant Manager's rate established in this Agreement. An employee temporarily relieving a Store Manager in a store other than his or her home store shall receive additional compensation at the rate of not less than ten dollars ($10.00) per week over the Assistant Manager's rate of pay for the basic workweek for all time so employed. All overtime will be computed at the relieving Manager's rate. An employee relieving a Store Manager in the employee's home store shall, if relieving for more than one (1) day, receive additional compensation at the rate of not less than ten dollars ($10.00) per week above the Assistant Manager's rate for the basic workweek for all time so employed unless otherwise provided by special memorandum attached to this Agreement. This does not apply to persons employed as full-time Relief Managers.
Relief Rate. An employee relieving a department manager for more than three (3) consecutive shifts shall be paid a two dollar ($2.00) per hour relief rate premium in addition to the employee’s normal wage for all time spent relieving, back to the first day of relief work. If a manager has days off in advance of holidays, the employee providing relief rate is to start earning the relief rate immediately. When management is absent from store and responsibilities fall to any member to become lead hand (key holder) there shall be a premium of $2.00 per hour paid to the employee for all time spent relieving, even if, for example, for only one-half hour. Key personnel shall receive a premium of $2.00 per hour when their responsibilities include keeping key to safe, store closing and lead hand duties. Employees who receive the relief rate shall not be paid in excess of the top rate on the Key Personnel wage scale.
Relief Rate. An employee relieving a Fuel Station Operator who is absent for five (5) or more full shifts (8 hours) shall receive a premium of two dollars ($2.00) per hour for each hour worked.
Relief Rate. Any employee who is assigned in writing the duties of either the store manager or the department manager, including office supervisor, shall receive one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour over their current rate of pay. Any store clerk who is assigned the duties of a senior clerk shall be paid at the senior clerk rate applicable to the current rate on the progression grid.

An employee temporarily relieving a store manager in a store other than his or her home store shall receive additional compensation at the rate of not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) per week over the Assistant Manager's rate of pay for the basic workweek for all time so employed. All overtime will be computed at the relieving manager's rate. An employee relieving a store manager in the employee's home store shall, if relieving for more than two (2) days, receive additional compensation at the rate of not less than ten dollars ($10.00) per day (paid retroactively to include the first two (2) days of absence) above the Assistant Manager's rate for the basic workweek for all time so employed unless otherwise provided by special memorandum attached to this Agreement. This does not apply to persons employed as full-time relief managers. When an employee is assigned the responsibility of opening or closing the store, such employee will be designated by management and will receive fifty cents ($.50) each full half hour for all time, provided no member of store management personnel is present. This is not paid during short-term breaks or absences by management, provided management returns from said absences.
Relief Rate. An employee relieving another employee at a higher rate of pay for more than two (2) days in a week shall be paid at the higher rate of pay for all time spent relieving. This does not apply to an employee on a lower progression level relieving an employee at a higher progression level. Relieving for the purposes of this section shall mean performing substantially the same work as performed by the employee who is being relieved.
Relief Rate. An employee relieving a Produce Manager, Store Manager, Assistant Manager, Front-End Manager or General Merchandise Manager who is absent for two (2) or more shifts shall be paid for such relief work for all time so employed in these positions at one dollar ($1.00) above their regular rate for all time spent relieving.
