RELIEVING AND HIGHER DUTIES. 21.4.1 If an employee is engaged temporarily in duties of a classification higher than their own, he/she will be paid the higher classification rate provided the higher duties are performed in full and for at least one (1) working day.
RELIEVING AND HIGHER DUTIES. If an employee is engaged temporarily in duties of a classification higher than their own, they will be paid a pro-rata of up to 80% higher classification rate on the difference between the band levels of the positions provided the higher duties are performed and for at least a completed days work for the position.

Further provided that where an employee performs higher duties and is in receipt of a higher hourly ordinary time rate of pay for three (3) continuous months or more immediately prior to commencing a period of paid annual leave or paid personal/carer’s leave the leave shall be paid at the higher hourly ordinary time rate of pay. The amount of annual leave or personal/carer’s leave that is paid at the higher hourly ordinary time rate of pay shall be proportional to the amount of annual leave or personal/carer’s leave accrued whilst performing the higher duties work.
RELIEVING AND HIGHER DUTIES. If an employee is engaged temporarily in duties of a classification higher than their own for at least one hour at the request of their supervisor or Manager, the employee will be paid the higher classification rate for that period engaged. Should an employee be performing duties of a higher classification for a period in excess of six months immediately prior to going on Annual Leave, the employee shall be paid the higher classification rate during Annual Leave to a maximum of two weeks, after which further annual leave taken will be paid at the normal rate.

RELIEVING AND HIGHER DUTIES. An Employee who is required to perform the duties applicable to a higher graded position for a continuous period of not less than five working days and satisfactorily carries out the duties and responsibilities applicable at the time the relief is performed, shall be paid the minimum salary of the higher graded position during the whole time of performing such duties. An Employee who for five days or more is required to carry out part only of the duties of the higher position shall be paid at a rate as agreed between the Employee and the Employer. In the case of operations staff, they will, subject to the approval of the Supervisor, be paid at the Team Leader rate of pay for any day that they take on the role of the Team Leader and perform all of the daily duties expected of the Team Leader.
