Request for Military Leave. Employees who have been ordered to military service must submit notice (either orally or in writing) of their need for leave. Employees should provide thirty (30) days advanced notice of the need for the leave, if practicable.

Request for Military Leave. ‌ As a condition precedent to receiving military leave, the employee is required to submit a copy of orders or a statement from the appropriate military commander as evidence of military duty. The orders or statement must be attached to a formal written request for military leave submitted by the employee to their Department Head. These documents must thereafter be sent to County’s Human Resources Department for processing.
Request for Military Leave. 10 The employee shall be required to submit a copy of orders or statements from 11 the appropriate military commander as evidence of such duty to the Fire Chief. 12 The orders or statement must be attached to a Personnel Action Record 13 requesting military leave. The request must be sent to the Human Resources 14 Department well in advance of the scheduled date of departure for proper 15 approval for military leave of absence.
Request for Military Leave. Every request for military leave shall set forth information as the Director, Department of Human Resources, requires and shall be accompanied by a copy of the official orders or other official documentation satisfactory to the Director which confirms the employee was required to engage in military service and did perform such service.

  • Military Leave An employee will be granted unpaid Military Leave in accordance with the Employment Standards Act. The employee will give as much notice as is reasonably possible and will provide a copy of the Military Notice when received.

  • Request for Leave At any time, employees may request the use of short-term leave (annual leave, compensatory time use, or personal leave). Such request shall be submitted on the appropriate form and approved or denied on the form within one week of submission to the appropriate authority (practices of shorter time periods will be maintained) except that current practices concerning emergency leave requests shall be maintained. Requests will not be denied unreasonably. The issue of more employees requesting the use of short-term leave than can be granted because of operational needs shall be resolved at the LMC. The Employer shall not request the reasons for the use of earned leave other than sick leave as permitted by Article 12. All leave may be used in tenth of an hour increments provided, however that use of personal leave to cover tardiness related absences shall not serve as a bar or defense to disciplinary action.

  • Military Service Leave Military unpaid leaves of absence shall be granted in accordance with applicable laws. The reinstatement rights of any employee who enters the military service of the United States by reason of an act of law enacted by the Congress of the United States, or who may voluntarily enlist during the effective period of such law, shall be determined in accordance with the provision of the law granting such rights.

  • Military Family Leave Employees may use vacation leave for leave as required by the Military Family Leave Act, RCW 49.77 and in accordance with Article 19.13.
