Requests and Recording of Sick Leave Accrual Use. The University must provide a Graduate Employee their accrued paid sick leave upon request. The Graduate Employee must make a reasonable effort to use accrued sick leave in a manner which does not unduly disrupt the operation of the University. In the event that the use of leave is foreseeable, requests should be made ten (10) days in advance of the date of the expected leave and state the expected duration of the leave. In the event that the leave is not foreseeable, the Graduate Employee must follow the notice requirements set forth by the supervisor and provide an estimated amount of time that leave is expected. Requests will be made in accordance with the expectations of the supervisor, and leave will be recorded in advance in cases of foreseeable leave, or immediately upon the return from leave in cases of unforeseeable leave. Leave will be recorded in the University’s on-line time and attendance system in hourly increments.

Requests shall be made in writing, including electronic communication, to the Office of Human Resources. The University will post current contract information on the Office of Human Resources website for the unit responsible for fulfilling these requests. In the event that the leave is not foreseeable, the Graduate Employee must make a reasonable effort to notify their supervisor five (5) days in advance of the absence and provide an estimated amount of time that leave is expected. In the event that the use of the leave is unforeseeable, the Graduate Employee will notify their supervisor as soon as reasonably possible. Requests will be made in accordance with the expectations of the employing unit, and leave will be recorded in advance in cases of foreseeable leave, or immediately upon the return from leave in cases of unforeseeable leave. Leave will be recorded in the University’s online time and attendance system in hourly increments through the EmpCenter at xxxxxx.xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual Rate Schedule Full Years of Service Hours Per Year

  • Accrual of Sick Leave a. A full-time employee shall accrue four (4) hours of sick leave for each biweekly pay period, or the number of hours that are directly proportionate to the number of days worked during less than a full-pay period, without limitation as to the total number of hours that may be accrued. b. A part-time employee shall accrue sick leave at a rate directly proportionate to the percent of time employed. c. An employee appointed under Other Personal Services (OPS) shall not accrue sick leave.

  • Leave Accrual After the first 30 days of active military service in any one calendar year, employees shall not accrue City-paid vacation, holiday, or sick leave benefits or other forms of paid leave; provided, however, that any public employee on military leave for intermittent training periods shall continue to accrue the same vacation, sick, and holiday leave up to a maximum period of 180 cumulative days per calendar year as if the employee had not been on military leave.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Sick Leave Accumulation (a) An employee is eligible to accumulate sick leave with full pay at the rate of 16 working hours for each 173 1/3 hours of service. (b) The maximum number of days of sick leave which may be awarded to an employee during any consecutive twenty (20) year period of service shall not exceed 3840 hours.

  • Sick Leave Accrual All eligible employees shall accrue sick leave at the rate of four (4) hours per pay period of continuous employment beginning with their date of eligibility. Eligible employees being paid for less than a full eighty (80) hour pay period shall have sick leave accruals pro-rated in accord with the schedule set forth in Appendix D.

  • Vacation Accrual Rates Laid off employees who are re-employed shall have the vacation accrual rate they held immediately prior to layoff restored.

  • Extension of Sick Leave Unless an employee otherwise requests in writing, an employee who has used up her sick leave credits shall be granted advanced sick leave with pay for a period up to fifteen (15) days subject to the deduction of such advanced leave from any sick leave credits subsequently earned.

  • Accumulation of Sick Leave The unused portion of an Employee's sick leave shall accrue for her future benefit, up to a maximum of one hundred and thirty (130) days.

  • Granting of Sick Leave An employee shall be granted sick leave with pay when he or she is unable to perform his or her duties because of illness or injury provided that:
