Retirement Notice. Three months advance written notice of retirement will be provided by an Employee where possible. Failure to provide such notice may result in delays in processing the necessary documentation by the Employer.
Retirement Notice. Employees who are eligible to retire in accordance with the Michigan Public School Employees Retirement and submit a letter of intent to retire at the end of the school year shall receive a retirement incentive of $1000. Letters of intent to retire must be received in the Superintendent’s Office by 4:00 pm on March 1. The one-time lump sum payment will be paid on the 1st pay in June.
Retirement Notice. Teachers desiring to retire at the end of the school year who want to access the retirement benefits in Sections 12.2 and 12.5 must notify the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources in writing of the intention to retire by February 15th. For Teachers choosing to work the additional year under the Transition Year Benefit, application must be made to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources by February 15th.
Retirement Notice. The Superintendent shall give notice to the Board at least six (6) months prior to the proposed date of retirement. The Board may waive the six (6) month notice requirement if the Superintendent elects to retire because of serious health problems.

A nurse intending to retire shall provide no less than forty-five (45) calendar days notice, in writing to their Unit Manager or designate of their intended date of retirement to allow replacement under Article 10.07 to be completed prior to the posted schedule during which the retirement occurs.

Retirement Notice. If the Union and Management are unable to come to an agreement, prior to the expiration of the current Bargaining Agreement, it is hereby agreed to let employees eligible for retirement on the date of contract expiration, have 30 calendar days after the ratification of a new Bargaining Agreement to decide to retire under the terms of the expired Bargaining Agreement, retirement to be effective 90 days after submittal of retirement notification.

An employee who intends to retire from the City must deliver to the City Manager a written notice of the employee’s planned retirement date as far in advance of that date as possible, but not less than one hundred eighty (180) days in advance of the employee’s last anticipated day of actual work. If such notice is given, the employee will be allowed to use his or her accumulated unused vacation credits after his or her last actual day of work and prior to his or her retirement date. However, if less notice is given, the employees will not be allowed to run out his or her accumulated unused vacation credits prior to retirement unless the employee provides documentation of extenuating circumstances that, in the City Manager’s judgment, rendered the giving of the notice infeasible to the extent it was not given.
