Volunteer Firefighters. Emergency Medical Technician/Natural Disaster Leave. Employees who notify their supervisor in advance that they are Emergency Medical Technicians or members of volunteer fire departments may be granted leave to respond to calls. Leave may also be granted to Red Cross, Civil Defense or First Responder volunteers in the event of a natural disaster or other catastrophe.
Volunteer Firefighters. A. Employees who participate as volunteer firefighters at their work site shall be compensated with an additional ten dollars ($10) each pay period.
B. The Employer shall not prorate this compensation during any leave of absence without pay of less than five (5) days in duration.
Volunteer Firefighters. Where an Employee is a volunteer firefighter and the Employer approves the Employee leave during the shift, the Employee will suffer no loss of regular pay while performing their duties as a volunteer firefighter responding to an emergency call.
Volunteer Firefighters. Subject to the approval of the Employer, an employee may leave during her shift for the purpose of fulfilling her emergency duties as a volunteer firefighter. The employee shall not suffer any loss of pay while performing volunteer firefighter duties and shall be able to respond accordingly to emergency calls.
Volunteer Firefighters. All members of the bargaining committee shall be active volunteer firefighters and shall have completed probation.
Volunteer Firefighters. The Company will recognize and pay individuals for a full shift whom are late to work because they were performing emergency services to their local community. This however, will not apply to individuals who are absent for an entire shift due to their involvement in this service.
Volunteer Firefighters subject to operational requirements, every consideration will be given to granting a leave of absence with pay to an employee who is a registered member of a volunteer fire department or volunteer ground search and rescue organization and who is called out during work hours.
Volunteer Firefighters. An employee who is also an emergency responder or firefighter for the City of Xxxxxx and who responds to an emergency call during normal working hours shall have such time considered as time worked.
Volunteer Firefighters. If an employee covered by this agreement is a volunteer firefighter and is late reporting for regularly scheduled work due to their response to a fire or rescue emergency call, the officer will not lose pay for such tardiness. This provision will not apply to scheduled meetings or training classes.
Volunteer Firefighters. Subject to the work schedule of the Laboratory, an employee will be granted time off without loss of pay or charge to vacation credit when requested by the employee’s local fire chief to participate in Signal One fire fighting duties.
