Rights to Union Representation. The Department recognizes an employee’s right to assistance and representation by the Union, and the right to meet and confer with local union representatives in private during duty time, consistent with Article 48 - Official Time, and local supplemental agreements. If the employee and the local union representative cannot be released immediately, the employee and the local union representative will normally be released two hours before the end of their tour of duty. If such release is not made, appropriate relief from time frames will be afforded (e.g., one day extension for each day of delay). The Department agrees to annually inform all employees of the right to Union representation under 5 USC 7114(a)(2)(B) by postings on official bulletin boards and other appropriate means. During his/her initial orientation, each employee will be provided with a copy of Xxxxxxxxxx rights and the Master Agreement. These documents also will be available electronically.

An employee must have supervisory permission prior to leaving the work unit unless the employee is on break or meal period.

  • Right to Union Representation A. An employee shall have the right to Union representation if requested by the employee, only as provided below. There will be no exceptions to this rule.

The Union agrees to supply the Employer with the names of the members constituting the Committee in duplicate, and will keep such list up to date at all times. It is mutually agreed that one of the duplicate copies shall be posted on the bulletin board by the Union. The Committee and the Employer shall meet once each month at times mutually agreed on, providing there is business for their joint consideration. Necessity for a meeting will be indicated by letter from either party to the other party, containing an agenda of the subjects to be discussed.
