S ection 1. The parties mutually recognize that their first obligation is to the public and that the right of students and residents of the school district to the continuous and uninterrupted operation of the school is of paramount importance.

The Employer recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive representative for those employees of the Employer in the bargaining unit as described in the State Employment Relations Board’s order of February 6, 1997, in Case No. 96-REP-09-0199 and amended by the Board’s order of March 23, 2000, in Case No. 99-REP-09-0212 and the Board’s order of October 27, 2016, in 2016-REP-08-0081. Wherever used in this agreement, the term “bargaining unit” shall be deemed to include those individuals employed full-time in and holding one of the job titles listed in this section as follows: Evidence Officer Patrol Officer
S ection 1. SALARY: Principals shall be compensated at the following rates for the 2021-2022 / 2022-2023 school years: 2 021-2022 2022-2023 High School Principal $130,423 $133,814 Middle School Principal $130,423 $133,814 Elementary Principal $130,423 $133,814 S ECTION 2. FIRST YEAR PRINCIPALSHIP: The school district retains the right to negotiate beginning salary and benefits with all principals who are new to the school district for the first year of their employment.

If the School Committee should change the school calendar, either party may request to impact bargain over the change. ½ before New Year’s Day Celebration New Year’s Day Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day Columbus Day Presidents Day Veterans’ Day** Patriots Day Thanksgiving Day Memorial Day ½ day before Thanksgiving Day after Thanksgiving Independence Day Day before Christmas Day Labor Day Christmas Day Good Friday** Yom Kippur** Rosh Hashanah** ** paid holiday when the day is scheduled on the school calendar S ection 2: It is the intent of this section that no employee, employed full-time or part-time for a minimum of twenty (20) hours, shall lose pay by the observance of any of the listed holidays; provided, however, that part-time employees shall receive holiday benefits only for holidays falling within their regularly scheduled work week; and provided further that, except as specifically provided elsewhere in this section, no employee, full-time or part-time, shall receive, in any week in which a holiday occurs, compensation in excess of his or her normal week’s pay as a result of the payment of compensation for such holiday. To these ends, this section shall be administered as follows: F ull-Time Employees (40 hours): The employee is entitled to each of the scheduled holidays or the equivalent time off with pay, based on the hourly rate of the employee for the number of hours normally worked on the day of the week on which the holiday falls, or for the number of hours normally worked on the day of the week given as equivalent time off, as the case may be. P art-Time Employees (minimum 20 hours): The employee is entitled to compensation for those holidays falling within his or her usual work schedule only, as follows:
