Section 4. Holiday Pay Entitlement. To be entitled to receive a paid holiday, including a floating 13 holiday, an eligible nurse must be in payroll status on the normal work day immediately preceding 14 and the normal work day immediately following the holiday(s) or work on the holiday. However, 15 eligible intermittent nurses shall receive holiday pay if they work the day before and the day after 16 the holiday or work on the holiday. 18 Notwithstanding the above, nurses employed on an academic school year basis shall be eligible 19 for the Christmas and New Year's holiday provided they are in payroll status on the last scheduled 20 workday prior to the Christmas break and on the first scheduled workday following the break. A 21 nurse is not entitled to holiday pay for any holiday occurring during the summer break unless 22 actually on payroll status the day before and the day after the holiday. Any nurse who dies or is 23 mandatorily retired on a holiday or a holiday weekend shall be entitled to be paid for the holiday(s).

  • Holiday Pay Entitlement To be entitled to receive a paid holiday, an eligible employee must be in payroll status on the normal work day immediately preceding and the normal work day immediately following the holiday(s). Payroll status shall be defined as follows: actually working, on paid vacation, paid sick leave, compensatory time off, or on a paid leave of absence. Any eligible employee who dies on a holiday or holiday weekend shall be entitled to be paid for the holiday(s).

  • Holiday Entitlement Employees who are laid off within seven (7) working days (except employees subject to dismissal through cause) prior to a Statutory Holiday occurring shall be entitled to such Statutory Holiday with pay. Also, employees who are absent either the day before or the day after a Statutory Holiday or both shall be entitled to such Statutory Holiday with pay provided they are absent for a reason of illness or accident.

  • Holiday Pay A. On each of the holidays designated above, each full-time employee scheduled to work but permitted to take the day off shall receive pay computed at the employee's basic hourly rate for the number of hours the employee was regularly scheduled to work.

  • Paid Holiday Pay Payment for holidays will be made at an employee’s basic pay, except if an employee has been working in a higher paid position than her regular position for a majority of the sixty (60) working days preceding her holiday, in which case she shall receive the higher pay.

  • Statutory Holiday Pay Employees who qualify for statutory holiday pay shall be paid an average day's pay on the Statutory Holidays above, based on the following: amount paid / days worked. “Amount paid” is the amount earned by the employee for work done during the thirty (30) calendars day period preceding the statutory holiday, including vacation pay but excluding overtime pay. “Days worked” is the number of days the employee worked or earned wages during that thirty (30) calendar day period.

  • Benefit Entitlement When an employee is on a WCB claim all benefits of the Agreement will continue to accrue. However, an employee off work on WCB claim shall receive net wages as defined by (A) above, and benefits equalling but not to exceed their normal entitlement had they not suffered a compensable injury. For the first twenty (20) work days on claim, an employee will accrue paid holidays and vacation credits. Once the claim exceeds twenty (20) work days, paid holidays and vacation credits will not accrue. However, unused vacation credits accrued prior to the claim shall not be lost as a result of this clause.

  • Holiday Pay Eligibility ‌ In order to be eligible for holiday pay, an employee must be in a pay status on the last regularly scheduled working day immediately before or on the first regularly scheduled day immediately after the holiday (§ 2-18-603, Mont. Code Xxx.). If a new employee or an employee returning from inactive status or layoff reports to work on a day following the holiday, the employee will not receive compensation for the holiday except as provided for in Section 7.

  • Shift Premium Entitlement (a) Employees working an afternoon or night shift as identified in Clauses 15.1(a)(2) and 15.1(a)(3) shall receive a shift premium for all hours worked on the shift.

  • Holiday Premium Pay A Nurse working on a recognized Holiday is entitled to the following compensation for any hours worked on the calendar date of the recognized Holiday:
