Section 8.12.3. 42 An employee on layoff status who rejects an offer of re-employment forfeits seniority and all 43 other accrued benefits; provided, that such employee is offered a position substantially equal to 44 that held prior to layoff. 46 Section 8.13. Reduced Schedule/Layoff (Bumping). 47 All bumping to avoid layoff or reduced hours is subject to the seniority bypass provisions of 48 section 8.8. This section will apply to layoffs or decreases of sixty (60) minutes or more per day to 49 a job assignment for any position affected by a bus route and thirty (30) minutes or more per day 1 for all other positions. This section does not apply to employees with temporary assignments or 2 hours. 4 The process shall be followed as:
6 A. Bumping to avoid layoff or reduced schedule as defined above shall be to a lateral or lesser 7 paid position for which the senior employee is qualified.
9 B. In the event that that a senior employee’s position is affected by a layoff/reduction and the 00 Xxxxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxx the employee in a similar position, the employee will have the right to 11 exercise his or her seniority rights through bumping into a position that is substantially similar 12 in salary, benefits and general working conditions as mutually agreed upon by the District and 13 the association.
15 C. The process will begin with the most senior employee that is displaced having the option to 16 choose a position that is less senior as mutually agreed upon by the District and the association.
Section 8.12.3. 22 When the Nutrition Services Department requires an employee to leave his/her normal work 23 station to report for substitute work at another location on the same work day, the employee shall 24 receive no less than their regular daily hours and pay rate in addition to compensation for mileage, 25 which shall be at the standard IRS reimbursement rate.
Section 8.12.3. 32 When the Nutrition Services Department requires an employee to leave his/her normal work 33 station to report for substitute work at another location on the same work day, the employee 34 shall receive no less than their regular daily hours and pay rate in addition to compensation for 35 mileage, which shall be at the standard IRS reimbursement rate. 37 Increased the dollar amount for having to work at another kitchen, and additional dollars if assigned to 38 report to the same school in the same day. 39 Section 8.12.3.1. 40 Central Kitchen Nutrition Services employees who are directed by their supervisor to 41 work at another location outside of Central Kitchen in a single day shall be entitled to 42 an additional five dollars ($5.00) six dollars ($6.00) per day. Assigned to the same 43 school more than once per day shall be considered separate assignments. Assignment 44 shall be made on a rotational basis from a list of volunteers. If all volunteers are 45 assigned, the supervisor will make an effort to assign others on a reverse seniority basis.
