Section 9.12. Personal Leave. 2 Each employee shall be entitled to two (2) days of personal leave with pay per school year. These days 3 will be pro-rated based on newly hired employee’s hire date and will be granted upon completion of 4 successful ninety (90) workday evaluation. Such personal leave shall be pro-rated based on the number 5 of days an employee works. Unused personal leave may be sold back to the District at full rate of pay 6 per Schedule A. 8 Four (4) days of personal leave may be carried over from year-to-year to a maximum availability of six 9 (6) in the year. Three (3) days may be used at any one (1) occasion. Personal leave shall be requested 10 in writing five (5) workdays in advance and requires the advance approval of the immediate 11 supervisor. Two (2) days may be used to extend a vacation or a holiday period. The employee shall be 12 notified within two (2) workdays if the requested leave has or has not been granted. Personal leave 13 will be granted on a first (1st) come first (1st) serve basis to be determined by the date of the request.
Section 9.12. Personal Leave. 21 Up to three (3)four )4) days per year shall be granted for Personal Leave. Personal leave will not 22 be deducted from sick leave. Employees will not be required to state any reason for the leave other 23 than the term “personal.” It is understood that only actual sick leave is transferred to other 24 districts. Personal days not used during the school year will be cashed out in the July paycheck.
Section 9.12. Personal Leave. 43 Employees will be given three (3) days of paid personal leave annually. An employee may carry over 44 up to three (3) days and use up to six (6) personal leave days per year. Such leave shall be 45 prearranged and subject to the approval of their supervisor. Denial of personal leave can be appealed to 46 the superintendent or designee. Personal leave can be used in full day increments.

  • Sick/Personal Leave Leave granted to the teacher for sick, personal or bereavement reasons.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Personal Leaves 8.11.4.1 As approved by the Board, personal leaves without pay may be granted in cases of exceptional need for up to six (6) months. Any such leave exceeding one (1) semester shall not be counted toward tenure or promotion or for computing salary increments. These leaves may be extended by the PVPAA upon recommendation of the xxxx for up to one (1) year.

  • Extended Personal Leave Personal leave without pay not to exceed thirty (30) 26 days may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent. Personal leave in 27 excess of thirty (30) days shall be subject to approval by the Board.

  • Personal Leave Day A. An employee may choose one (1) workday as a personal leave day each fiscal year during the life of this Agreement if the employee has been continuously employed for more than four (4) months.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave Where an employee has exhausted all paid personal leave entitlements, they are entitled to take unpaid personal leave to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support or who require care due to an unexpected emergency. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to take up to two days (up to a maximum of 16 hours) of unpaid leave per occasion, provided the requirements of 7.2.5(a) and 7.2.5(b) are met.
