SELECTION FOR ASSIGNMENTS. 1. The Extra-Duty Employment Coordinator will post all requests for Extra-Duty Employment in an accessible place in the headquarters building for interested officers to sign up to work available assignments. When possible, available Extra-Duty Employment will be posted for a minimum of seven (7) days so that all employees have an opportunity to consider the opportunity. In the event of requests made less than seven days in advance of the event, the posting will be for as long as possible, with notice posted in SharePoint. 2. Assignments to Extra-Duty Employment opportunities will be made from a list established by the Extra-Duty Employment Coordinator of approved officers who have voluntarily signed up to work Extra-Duty details. The list will be maintained by the Extra-Duty Employment Coordinator, who will also make all assignments for Extra-Duty Employment. The Extra-Duty Employment Coordinator will ensure that assignments are apportioned fairly and without prejudice for or against any officer. Any officer who objects to the distribution of assignments will first take the matter up with the Extra-Duty Employment Coordinator, and, if still dissatisfied, with the Fraternal Order of Police and/or the Professional Services Division through the Chain of Command.

SELECTION FOR ASSIGNMENTS. When employees are needed to perform Restoration Work, management shall have the right to determine the number of employees, job classifications, skill sets needed, and the location(s) from which the needed employees are to be selected, based on business need and operational impact. 1. Available employees not in statewide seniority workgroups who meet the criteria noted above (classification, skill set, and location) shall be polled to perform Restoration Work in accordance with a list of their current number of overnight stays on Restoration Work assignments. The initial list to poll from shall be in order of seniority, with the most senior employee offered first and forced last. Employees then shall be offered the opportunity for Restoration Work assignments based on the number of overnight stays on Restoration Work assignments, low to high, at the time of the poll at the respective location(s) designated. If there are not sufficient volunteers to staff the desired number of employees from the location designated, then the Company may require employees to accept such Restoration Work from that location in order of number of overnight stays on Restoration Work assignments, low to high. If the number of overnight stays is the same, the senior will be offered first and forced last. The process detailed in this paragraph shall not impede or delay the selection and assignment of employees with the appropriate criteria noted above to perform Restoration Work. For on-system restoration events (Entergy operating companies), available employees not in statewide seniority workgroups who meet the criteria noted above (classification, skill set, and location) shall be polled to perform Restoration Work in accordance with a list of their current number of overnight stays on on-system Restoration Work assignments. The initial list to poll from shall be in order of seniority, with the most senior employee offered first and forced last. Employees then shall be offered the opportunity for Restoration Work assignments based on the number of overnight stays on Restoration Work assignments, low to high, at the time of the poll at the respective location(s) designated. If there are not sufficient volunteers to staff the desired number of employees from the location designated, then the Company may require employees to accept such Restoration Work from that location in order of number of overnight stays on Restoration Work assignments, low to high. If the number of overnight stays is the same, the senior will be offered first and forced last.   • Assignment of Contract A. Unless expressly agreed to elsewhere in the Contract, no assignment by a party hereto of any rights under or interests in the Contract will be binding on another party hereto without the written consent of the party sought to be bound; and, specifically but without limitation, money that may become due and money that is due may not be assigned without such consent (except to the extent that the effect of this restriction may be limited by law), and unless specifically stated to the contrary in any written consent to an assignment, no assignment will release or discharge the assignor from any duty or responsibility under the Contract Documents.

  • TEACHER ASSIGNMENT A. No later than thirty (30) days prior to the end of the school year, all teachers shall be given an opportunity to voluntarily fill out preference sheets indicating their preferences, in order of priority, of grade level and type of program on that grade level, with the understanding that where reasonably possible such preferences will be honored. B. Not later than the last work day for teachers in June all teachers shall be given written notice of their assignments for the forthcoming year. Teachers shall be given an opportunity to discuss their assignments with their Principals. If the Principal proposes changes to the assignment which may include transfer to another school, all teachers affected shall be notified promptly. Changes in teachers’ assignments later than the fifteenth day of August preceding the commencement of the school year shall be made only in an emergency situation. An emergency situation shall be defined as provided for in Article I, Section 1.5. C. No change in assignment during the school year shall be made without ten (10) school days notice and discussion prior to the change. D. Any assignment in addition to or in lieu of the normal teaching schedule, during the regular school year, shall not be obligatory but shall be with the consent of the teacher. Such assignments will be given to teachers regularly employed in the school system on a rotating basis.
